Replaced a ~10yr B&D toaster oven with this hoss and love it.  Maintains a similar low-profile so it fits well on countertop, heats up in less than half the time of our old one (efficient!), and evenly cooks the food.  Only cons really are that instead of a drip-pan, you have to put food in/on the included pan vs rails so more cleaning, and I wish it remembered convection after each cycle.  We thought the buttons would be a time-sink coming from knobs but they are extremely responsive.  Convection is the standout here, love convection cooking; I almost use this more than our actual oven.

Great toaster oven.

I was thrilled to be able to get the same exact oven as I had for the past 7 years! It served me well, but the temperature just stopped working. Probably from so much use. I was kind of disappointed that I could not pickup in the store--but it shipped quickly! Highly recommend the purchase of this oven.

My second purchase of this oven!

This toaster oven replaced an older similar B&D toaster oven.  The unit is a bit larger outside, but has roughly the very same inside dimensions.  This new oven has a bulge in the back to allow a 'round' pizza to be heated/cooked. The electronic controls are not all that intuitive, but after using a few times, one figures out how and what should be done to make it work.   Its convection function is sort of a bonus in that it allows me to save time and energy with most of the things I use the oven to prepare.

Great Oven

This unit has useful preset buttons for different foods, but the button labels are tiny and hard to read.  Also the blue light (which indicates that the unit is on) is ridiculously bright and has to be covered to read the LCD display of time and temp.  The LCD display should have a backlight, but lacking one (or it's too dim), I have to  cover the blue light and use a flashlight to read the time and temp.

Good, but display needs improvement

I bought this for my wheelchair bound mother-in-law specifically because the controls were along the side and not the top.  When I unboxed it, she loved the variety of cooking options, loved that she could reach the controls, loved how quickly it heated up, but did not like that the top of the unit got hot during usage (for context we were buying this because her previous toaster oven almost cause a fire when a plastic food storage container that was left on top of it started melting). Because of this (the lack of insulation of the top of the unit), I returned it.

So if you don't have mobility issues or like storing things on top of your toaster oven, this should be a great addition to your kitchen.

Great toaster oven, but the top gets hot

the keypad gets way to hot and the letters are too hard to read. I have used b n d for years and this one replaced an older model that died after years owning it. I guess I will have to call spectrum on Monday. I can't go without a toaster convection oven as I am in a wheelchair. too dangerous for me to use my regular oven. I won't use the ones with the knobs because they melt and renders it useless. this one is also shorter in length and my 9 x 13 wont come close to fotting in it.

Black and Decker is an icon product maker. This product did not live up to their long-standing reputation. I've returned it already. Maybe it was just this one unit...baking function was erratic (didn't sustain consistent temperature, so my baked Cod was not cooked throughout), and the toaster function really didn't work at all (burner units would come on, then go off, only warming the toast rather than toasting it). Decided to give this model another chance: WalMart store couldn't reorder it from the store. WalMart dot com no longer carries this model. Okay, so that's telling me something. Don't bother!

This gets extremely hot. it does warn of this in the manual. The entire outside gets way too hot,  including the buttons. You acnt touch the buttons to change temp/ time becusse they are so hot. I've  had 2 other conventional ovens in the past and the outside and buttons  never got this hot when in use. I am returning it because it just doesn't seem normal or safe for this to got so hot.
