It works great. Only downside, for a small vacuum, I wish it was quieter. I still think it's a great purchase.

Battery charge lasts for a good amount of time. Strong suction. Easy to empty.

We've had many hand vacs over the years, most finally give up the ghost or just can't hold battery power. Got this one to replace one such vac. Heard the wife say the other day . . . "I love this B&D vac, it's so powerful, picked up a large full spool of thread with no problem . . . I want to replace those others we have !!!"

Have had this for a few months. I find that it works great and is certainly powerful enough. I find two negatives versus the previous 18V version. It doesn't last as long before needing a charge, although I seldom use it long enough for this to be a huge impact. The second negative is I don't like needing to plug the charger cord in versus just setting the vac on the charger stand.

12V battery not as good as previous 18V

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good suction for a hand vacuum. I like the built-in extension. I would like if there were more extension parts. Downside is that the power button is located on the handle so you tend to hit it when using the vacuum.

Overall a good vacuum

I had one of their originals which had a battery problem. but they did everything to make it right!  So when it was time to get a new one, I went with BD!!  This model is soooo light and the pick up is great.  It also shows you when the battery is getting low.  The only thing I don't care for, is the switch.  One click gets you suction, which works good, but to turn it off, you have to click the switch again for high then again to turn off, but no biggy - I like to conserve my clicks! Ha

I need help please. I love this vac and take really good care of it but the power cord has failed. The reason why I know this because I purchased one for my Aunt at the same time and she brought here power cord over and it charged just fine. My vac just quit and would flash when trying to charge. I have noticed a couple of people with different models have the same trouble. It's hard to find a power cord because they change with the different year and model. If you could help me find another power cord I would appreciate very much.

Power Cord Failure

I ordered this to vacuum dust and powder residue.  The powder was picked up--but then blown back into the air from the debris cup and motor!!! Seriously NOT a joke!! It was a MESS!  I returned this item--if all you want to do is pick up crumbs--it works BUT if you want to use the dustbuster to pick up dust/powder -- it's LAUGHABLE!!
