After my very old iron self-retired, I researched its replacement.  I decided upon this iron based upon the positive reviews it had garnered.  The on/off switch is easy to read, and the heating levels are easy to calibrate.  It heats quickly and dependably.  I use the iron primarily for ironing hems etc. while sewing.  So far, I am happy with this purchase.

This inexpensive iron delivers great results.  I love it.  I've purchased expensive irons, and did not get my money's worth.  This iron has such great steam, it set off the smoke alarm in my home.  I had to change my ironing location.  I would recommend this product.  Thank you walmart

Powerful Steam

This Iron is marvelous, for the price, you receive an item durable, efficient and elegant in looks. I do ironing for people and for more than 20 years I have purchased so many kinds of steam irons, some much more costly, but they were heavy, and they did not last more than a few months. Then I discover the Black & Decker( an old one still working that I had put away)one day when my iron stopped working, and surprise!! I fell in love all over again with this little iron,from now on it will be the only iron I will use, and I still do ironing of shirts for people.

Pleased as pie

My children always take my iron to their rooms are the basement. I can never find it when I need it in a hurry, so I bought this item for my convenience.  So far it works great for my needs.

Standby!

As befits B&D, this is a good quality iron, especially considering the moderate price. I bought it for my wife, along with a deluxe ironing board cover and pad; she likes the total package quite well.

B&D Iron

After buying so many of the Walmart $6.98 irons that half the time don't steam, I decided to order this iron. I love the ease of ironing with this iron. The steam flows from this iron as soon as you move the iron over your fabric. And if you need extra steam there is a button on the iron for that. it"s non stick so it glides across the fabric. I only had it for about a week,but I do use it every day as I make handbags and doll clothes and I just love this iron.

Excellent light weight iron. The main reason I didn't give it a five is because if you want to use steam a lot the water runs out very quickly. Also there's no on and off switch. However it irons very well, very nice soleplate that slides along easily and simple directions for use. Great from my sewing projects.

Good investment unless you are constantly ironing.

So far the iron works well.  Have to see how long it lasts

Good iron - does the job.

It is difficult to tell when not to use and when it is ready to be used.  It does not meet my Black and Decker expectations.  The item has to be ironed over several times to remove the wrinkles.

Not what I expected

I purchased this iron from my local Walmart in March, went to use it this morning to iron my clothes for work & it was ice cold! I called Spectrum the company that handles the warranty & was told that in order for me to receive a replacement unit I would have to send a piece of the cord & a check or money order in the amount of $7.50 for shipping and handling! I only used this iron once per day, 5 days per week. Never dropped it or anything. Will not purchase another one!
