[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically like to read reviews prior purchasing a product. The product itself came out really good and it helped me immediately as I need to iron my clothing for my job.   Product was easy to handle and instructions were clear.

excellent iron for the price. this just replaced an expensive, nearly $100 ceramic iron that the ceramic tip of the ironing plate  fell off of. 
HIGHLY RECIMMEND THIS black and decker iron with the stainless steel plate, it's far superior at ironing fabric and creating steam over more expensive ceramic types (which I will never again purchase)

Excellent iron, heats fast, great value!

Pros:
1. You can change the temperature with the dial to several different levels. My old iron just had high, medium and low.
2. You are supposed to use just plain old tap water in it instead of having to buy distilled water for it. Wonderful!
3. It has a nice large water reservoir so you can iron for a while before you have to fill it, and it's easy to see the water level.
4. It has a cover over the reservoir fill opening so if you are like me and always leave the iron sitting on the ironing board, you don't have to worry about dust getting in the reservoir over time.
5. It works well!!! My old one had been clogged up for a long time so I had forgotten how nice a steam iron can be!

Cons:
1. You can't turn off the steam on high heat if you need to use a dry iron on something. The directions say you need to turn the iron upside down to dump the water out first and a couple other steps before you use a hot, dry iron.
2. The iron doesn't beep when it is heated up and ready to use, and I imagine it is the same if you have it on for a period of time before it automatically shuts off. My old one would let me know.
3. The handle is metallic, and I went out of the room for a sec, and when I came back to finish ironing I got a pretty good static shock when I went to pick up the iron!!! That was not cool at all, and I was pretty leery the rest of my ironing session. That's why I gave this iron only four stars.

Be careful of metal handle %26 static electricity

This would be excellent for traveling. It is also a steamer for wrinkles in clothes. For the price, build quality is good. if you are prone to accidentally leaving things behind in a hotel, or other travel adventures, the price of this name brand item keeps it easily replaceable. You also probably won't have to bring a steamer with you for your shirts, and pants. It saves money in that department if you can learn that skill. It won't show you how to iron, or steam clothes. Read the directions. Unless you built it, you wont know how everything works. It's not like you add water to the tank, turn the dial, then simply iron your fabric. So learn the skills, and save money with this affordable iron if you can. Not good for silk, or heat sensitive materials. The iron will work after that, but those burned items won't. So "Folow the rules''.

And you can steam wrinkles out for the price too?!

The iron is easy to use. But I haven't had it that long and it's already starting to burn. It gets really hot. Has multiple settings. But Sticks to (cotton) clothing even on the right settings.

Yes and No

This iron doesn't seem to get hot enough. It makes me work extra hard to get the wrinkles out of some fabrics. If ironing light weight fabrics with just a few wrinkles, it's okay, but for deep wrinkles and creases, it seems to take forever to get it done.

Okay for light ironing

I got this mainly for the vertical steam function and it hardly works. One poof of steam and that's it until you wait a little bit.

Steam function is awful

Settings on the dial of the iron are so tiny they are almost impossible to read and the dial does not turn easily.
The "Burst of Steam" feature does not work at all.
The only positive is that it heats up very quickly and is fairly lightweight.  However, with the other issues, I am returning it for an iron that is more user-friendly.

Steam feature doesn't work

There is so much to hate about this iron. 1. It spits water.   2. There is no way to turn off the steam. (I have never seen an iron without this fu ction.)   3. The cord doesn't stay flat and out of the way when the iron is standing up. This makes it unstable and increases the chance it will fall over. I finally wrapped the cord through the handle tight and zip tied it to remedy this problem.  I ordered this iron because the one I had ordered from Amazon was delayed. i am going to have to write this one  off and look for something else. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!

Well, it gets hot...

Purchase this iron as a temporary replacement until the iron I wanted becomes available however it was useless as its performance is terrible. It has to be at its maximum heating setting to iron even a silk blouse. As for jeans… forget about it. It takes forever to get wrinkles out. I hope my review helps someone else.
