My cat has always been overweight.  It's been extremely difficult to manage his intake, since he was rescued from the streets and has constant anxiety about not having enough food- I don't have the heart to deprive him because he'll be terrorized by even a small amount of food missing from his bowl.  This food has been a GOD SEND in terms of both managing his weight and still allowing him to feel comfortable by free-feeding.  He's lost so much over the last few months and is lean and energetic now.  THANK YOU!

My baby has been on this for a month or so now and she love it! After just a week of feeding her this food, she's gone from lethargic, sad, and lazy to energized, vocal, and playful! 

She never used to jump high and took the easiest route to her cat bed on the tower. Now, she's up on counter tops and by my ceiling on the washer! Her fur is so silky and smooth. This stuff works wonders! She looks like she's losing weight (11lbs to start) but we'll see what the vet says.

We have been feeding Hills Prescription Metabolic for weight management and decided to try Blue weight control. We followed instructions for switching foods and found that the cat that is food obsessed who I though would eat anything does not like this food - he eats some but leaves most of it in his dish. We have switched back to the Hills and he is once again cleaning out his bowl. My other cats won't eat what is left behind either.

I used to feed my cat, Penny the regular blue buffalo tasteful dry food, but realized she was getting a little chunky so I switched to this “weight control” about a year ago. She likes the food and has no digestive issues with it however, I don't notice any weight control benefit from it. If anything she's gained some more weight! I wouldn't say she's obese or super overweight, but she definitely is chunky. She also gets one can of wet food per day (a 3oz can half in the morning half at night). Since she doesn't have any issues with the food, I haven't wanted to change it since she likes it. Again, however, it doesn't do much for her weight control. She's sitting on my lap as I'm writing this review, telling me to mind my own business.

If this is supposed to help our chubby babies lose weight, why do you not put the calories per cup on the bag?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a stranger to the Blue brand. We feed our dog Blue Buffalo exclusively, and he loves it! So I was excited to see our samples arrive for our two kitties. Most especially, for our chubby Nelly, “The Belly” feline. 
Unfortunately, Nelly was not impressed. I started out blending the Weight Control Chicken food in with her normal brand. But Nelly is smart, or maybe the morsels were too small, but she did her best to avoid the new stuff. After a while, I introduced more of the Blue food into her bowl, which she started ignoring. So I guess it was truly “weight management,” as my finicky feline didn't eat as much as she usually does in a sitting, but overall, she gave the food 2 paws down.
