This was bought for my son who is 13. He is writing this review with me and here is what he has to say about BOOMco Rapid Madness: I love that it's automatic and that it actually sticks to the target. I love that it has never gotten stuck/or jammed. I would recommend this gun to kids 13 and up due to the pumping action required (18 pumps for Maximum Power). I would say that I don't like having to do the pumping it is hard to get to the maximum and makes me tired. Mom says that I will have strong muscles due to this. Other than the pumping tiring me out it's worth the buy!

Great dart gun, shoots out very fast but needs to pump at least 20 times for the clip to finish. Darts shoots out at a faster rate than nerf guns. It's a little harder for smaller kids to prime the air chamber but at least you don't have to replace batteries. If kids just pump the air chamber twice then it can shoot out a single shot, almost has the feel of a sniper gun that way we don't have to pickup darts as often. The gun maybe a little heavier for smaller kids. With the fast rate of fire, definitely need to purchase extra darts. The plastic darts don't deteriorate as the foam nerf dart type. All in all an excellent gun for the price.

Great features with solid build construction

Bought this on clearance for $15. Impressed with the fully automatic shooting and the noise it makes. The bullets feel like cheap plastic but they're surprisingly durable. Had some colleagues step on them by accident but they're still fully intact.

Well worth it

I bought 2 of these for xmas presents and they are so fun! Works great. Seems to be of good quality though we haven't had them long yet. Will definitely buy more of BoomCo products.

I ordered two Blasters for my grandsons for Christmas.  I ordered them online on a Tuesday and they arrived two days later.  I have been telling everyone about the excellent service I received, and I'll probably continue to do so for quite awhile.

Great Service

I had the wonderful opportunity being chosen to test the Boom Co. Stick Rapid Madness and Smart Stick System from Mattel to test. My son was so thrilled and excited when we received it; right away he called his friends to come over. To be honest my husband, my 14 year daughter and myself joined in on the fun too. We all had such an awesome time playing with the Rapid Madness and Smart Stick System.
What amazed us is:
The bullets stick only on the target and the blaster shields
The distances the bullets would shoot is amazing
The accuracy of single shooting is a great feature for targeting
The ultimate firepower of firing 20 darts in seconds is another awesome feature
The durability of both the Stick Rapid Madness and Smart Stick System is made of strong plastic
The amount of darts it comes with
A great point that really impressed me is: I was very concern and was apprehensive about if a bullet were to hit anyone, would the bullet hurt someone. I tested it out on my husband and myself and I am happy to say it did not hurt.
Also as a parent, I felt that both the Stick Rapid Madness and Smart Stick encouraged great self- esteem and healthy competition.
I would highly recommend both the Stick Rapid Madness and Smart Stick for all ages over 6 years old including adults too. We had hours of awesome fun with the Boom Co. Stick Rapid Madness and Smart Stick System.

Received the Rapid Madness Blaster from Mattel to test and my son could hardly wait for me to open the box when we got it in the mail a couple days ago. Eli has been so eagerly awaiting the arrival. When I finally got the box open, you could see the thrill in his face of all the fun he was going to have with his new Rapid Madness Blaster. I knew we would all share in this fun once we got the opportunity to play with his new blaster. This is like Christmas in June.
One of the nicest features is that the bullets only stick to the target or the shields and nothing else. One has to be careful not to lose the bullets because they are easily hidden in the grass.
I would recommend this as something to play inside, as the bullets are easily hidden in the grass. The Rapid Madness Blaster is a big hit in our home. My son has thanked me a millions times over.

Tons of fun and excitement

I received the BOOMco. Rapid Madness Blaster at NO CHARGE from Mattel to Try & Review. These thoughts and opinions are my own.
The amount of engineering that went into this "toy" will astound you. The Blaster has enough power so that it will easily shoot seventy feet. Yet, the dart material absorbs almost all of the energy on impact. Yes, I tested how much impact the dart had when fired. It's super-soft! The darts only stick to the special material on the targets and the pop-out shields on the Blaster. The shell of the Blaster is made from very durable plastic that will hold up to the most punishing battles. Small, light and incredibly accurate. You will need to buy more than one. I had just as much fun as the kids! Highly recommended! Manufacturer recommended age: 6 - 15 years. Not for children under 3 yrs old due to the choking hazard. Just be smart!

Even More Awesome Than It Looks!

Bought two of these for my boys ( age 8/9) and they love it . Good quality not as good as nerf ( plastic ) but with this price and very POWERFUL I would definitely stick with this brand. Comes with many sticky darts and two options of striking .

Amazing price !

Who says that only boys can play with guns? My little girl absolutely love this toy! She hasn't put it down since I received it! But I have to say that it was a bit of a hassle to put it together but it's the perfect distraction for these summer days. She dropped it a few times and it stayed intact which is a great because other toy guns that we've tried haven't been sturdy enough to withstand the wrath of my six year old! It is a bit bulky and hard to carry for a six year old though, I would recommend it to someone with older children. On the plus side the new darts are much more accurate and faster than the average toy gun. I was very impressed! I would happily recommend the BOOMco. Rapid Madness Blaster to my friends who have older children. Thank you Mattel for sending me this product for free my daughter really appreciated it.

Girls know how to have fun too! ;)

First let me say that I received this product from Mattel to try for free. My kids were so excited to play with it especially when they seen it. It does look cool and is huge but that is it. My kids got maybe an hours play time out of it. I was extremely disappointed. Within minutes it started to jam up and the clip would not slide through correctly. A hour or so later the clip will not even move and the bullets will not shoot.

Will not last!
