I bought this because of the suction base, as i didn't want to screw anything into the desk.  Unfortunately, the suction only lasts for one or two pencils and then comes loose.  It's a little hard (and annoying) to have to pull the lever back every time, but the pencils come out super sharp.

Suction Base keeps coming loose

Very handy to have at home, this sharpener works great, really grinds pencils sharp!  Only problem is that the vacuum mount does not really work, the seal keeps coming loose.

Sharpens in a flash

Portable, convenient does it's job. Just make sure you have flat smooth surface no textured surface
