After using various different car seats over time I really like how light and convenient this one is. It makes changing over (between cars) easy and quick. I appreciate the bars to hook the belts on when they are not in use. The price it's offered at also makes this a steel.

Lightweight and convenient

Bought this as a car seat for our second car. It definitely doesn't feel as sturdy as our Graco car seat and feels cheaper, but our son sits in it comfortably. It has a slim profile so works well in our small SUV.

It was easy to install, however the belt was a pain to adjust, since I have a toddler and not a newborn. Also it's a bit short comparing to my other car seat (Evenflo triumph), but it's okay for the price. Delivery is speedy.

Works well

its good for the price. but you definitely get what you pay for, the staps twist really easy. and i had nothing but problems trying to rear face this carseat

Definitely works and keeps my baby safe but it's very very difficult installing correctly as there's only 2 different settings so you have to stick a blanket or towel underneath and I wish that wasn't the case. I can never get the bubble to level right. It's been a pain!

Invest in another

I bought this to drive my granddaughter in my car when needed. She is under 2 and her parents would have preferred her to be rear facing but it was very difficult to install as such. The way the seat sits she would have been almost horizontal as rear facing. To sit the seat up straighter it was recommended to put a rolled towel under it which just seems unsafe. Her parents agreed that that forward facing is okay in my car since we're just taking short hops. I would have returned but I had not tried to install the car seat until a few months after purchase. If you want a rear facing I would not recommend. The seat is just ok.

Not rear facing for young toddler

Did not fit/install properly in car, even with suggested rolled towels or pool noodle under for extra support. It would not tighten to the point where it felt safe. It's also super tall for rear facing with the angle it needs to sit at that you have absolutely 0 room for the seat infront of it. Returned and purchased the evenflo tribute XL which installed much easier, quicker, tighter, and more room for the seat infront. Do not waste your time or money!

Not worth your time

[Employee of walmartcanada] I am very disappointed with this car seat. The straps are extremely short, and even after adjusting them, it's impossible to secure my child properly. A car seat should provide safety and comfort, but this one simply doesn't allow for a proper fit.

Straps Are Too Short

This item is very difficult to setup in a standard car. Certified firefighters took 1.5 hours to set it up. They used plastic swimming noodles underneath it to make it partially stable. I am returning this. Not recommended. The product came in as previously opened but we bought it new.

Difficult to setup and very unstable

I was not able to install this seat without it having too much wiggle to it despite watching multiple You Tube videos and reading and re-reading the instructions. Using both the lap/shoulder belt or the anchors would not tightly secure the seat. Ultimately I returned it for a refund.

Not satisfactory

Baby Trend Trooper Convertible Car Seat converts rear-facing (4–40 lbs) to forward-facing toddler seat (23–65 lbs) with 5-position shoulder height and 3-position crotch buckle. Rear-facing recline flip foot and bubble level for correct angle, two integrated cup holders, 16.75" width fits three across, lightweight shell supports LATCH to 55 lbs, deep side wings for head protection, premium fabric and high shell height for longer use.
