The Lakewood has some really neat features that make it great for smaller yards but keep the kids playing all day long. First, the raised fort has a colorful awning and front wall with white trimmed window to make a cool clubhouse-like area up top. Down below there is another fort, with a front wall, window, and real door! And the side snack window has built-in bench just outside. Out on the swing beam there are two belt swings and an acrobat bar for plenty of swinging and clowning around. A standard step ladder gets the kids to the upper fort and their 8' speedy slide zips them back down again.

This is a nicely made swing set. It does require considerable assembly but the manual is well written and the parts identified. I would recommend setting out all the parts and clearing an area for assembly.  Power screwdriver will make it easier and socket set, drill and drill bits are needed.

Our kids love this swingset. It is very durable and the quaility is amazing. Our almost two year old master going up the stairs and down the slide with no problem and that was a fear I had. They also enjoy the picnic table and the little house under the slide. We literally never come inside the house anymore after this purchase. It's a must have. Shipping took longer than expected because of the whole COVID situation but I'd have to say it's worth the wait because the kids absolutely love it!!! Thank you backyard discoveries for helping make our quarantine days so much better :)

This is a great set. It was the best one we could find for a smaller yard. It was easy to set up, and looks great. The kids (4 & 6) spend hours a day on it.

We love it! Pain to put together but that's to be expected. My son (who is 2) adores this playplace! It's great material and came together perfectly. No missing or broken pieces. I would def recommend this company and this exact playplace!

Just wonderful!!

The Lakewood was my first build ever. it took me a week by myself with a helper to assemble the frame and swing beam. I noticed that I needed both the manual and the video to complete the project. there were a few instances where the wood pieces in various places were not oriented correctly and had to be switched. My granddaughters just love it and I am happy with my purchase. I have a few suggestions that would help other novice builders. please add the hardware product references to the printed catalog and make it easier to see the exploded view on the BLT site and finally, please assure that each piece imprint number/ letter is easy to see as some were faded.

This swing set is perfect for our two year old and his pals. I will say, it's not necessarily strong enough for adults to play on, but that's not what it's meant for. We had a professional put it together, by himself, in 3.5 hours. Oh! And the shipping was also very quick! We ordered it on a Sunday, and it was delivered on Friday!

Lakewood Swing Set

We are so happy with the Fall River swing set! The ropes instead of chains on the swings are much easier on my kids' hands and the ladder is sturdy and easy for little feet to navigate without getting stuck. 

The materials seem to be of good quality and the instructions made assembly clear and easy. My kids love the two levels of the fort, especially the windows and snack bar!

Overall, the set is the perfect size and functions well in our back yard. We look forward to playing on this play set for years to come!

Perfect design for kids!

Backyard Discovery is very enjoyable to work with. Their play set is good quality and the color is accurate. We have a 5 and 3 year old and both can plan on this playset independently. Our 5 year old will outgrow the swing soon or he'll just have to not swing his highest. But right now it's great and the height of the stairs is what we wanted for safe independent play in the backyard. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them as a reliable quality company. GoConfigure also was great for assembly. Trustworthy and did a good job

Reliable Company

We gifted our children this set for Christmas and they are in love. The set was easy to put together with assistance from the BILT app. Two pieces that were not essential to the integrity of the structure were destroyed in the box but we moved forward without them because we wanted this done by Christmas. I recommend doing a better job with packaging and labeling each pieces. There were a lot of pieces with faded, hard to read labels. Also, a lot of the pieces were splitting when you start to screw into them. Seems to be a common issue with backyard's products. Nonetheless, we are happy with the product.

Assembly

It is a nice looking set, to be sure, but we had a few grievances with it. One of the boards was damaged in the box and it didn't come with spare hardware. A bolt broke while installing and we had to scour our garage for a suitable replacement piece. The top coating on the darker wood has peeled off in some places. It creaks and wobbles when my 3 year old swings, despite the anchor rods being placed. The swings are so low they nearly touch the ground. Also took three adults a day and a half to assemble. If you have bigger kids (7+), I'd look into another set.

Nice, but flawed

Assembly directions were good. Would be better if the number of the part had a color description would of saved some time looking at pieces. Had 3 or more pieces get serious splits and or cracks. Good amount of money was spent to purchase this set for my daughter and had some of the main pieces damaged was bad.
