The Backyard Discovery Oakmont Cedar Swingset has some really neat features that make it great for smaller yards but keep the kids playing all day long. First, the raised fort has a colorful awning and front wall with white trimmed window to make a cool clubhouse-like area up top. Down below there is another fort, with front wall, window and real door! The side snack window has built-in bench just outside. Out on the swing beam there are two belt swings and an acrobat bar for plenty of swinging and clowning around. A standard stepladder gets the kids to the upper fort and the eight-foot speedy slide zips them back down again.

My husband used two weeks to install it. However, he just spent about two hours some day in these two weeks. It looks nice after finishing. One piece of wood was broken during installation, but others are fine.

I bought this item a mouth ago and i'm very glad I did it. The delivery was very fast and the installation very easy. It takes about 10 hours to assemble.

Great purchase

After reading the reviews we were a bit iffy as so many people complained about the set up. But… we took it with a grain of salt as there are so many people who complain and who aren't good with construction.

And to our delight… the set is amazing! All of the cuts were perfectly aligned. Everything was pre-drilled correctly. There was no missing hardware and in fact the company provided additional hardware just in case.

It took my husband 2 days to do this solo. One day he worked for about 4 hours and the next day about 7 hours and viola… we had a happy toddler swinging and sliding away.

This structure is very sturdy and is a great value considering the basic metal basic swing models are about $200.

We got this for my sons third birthday and he loves it! Took my husband most of the day to put together but that's with breaks and taking his time (it was super hot out). All of the pieces were there and it's pretty solid. Made more for little kids though but that's all we need (we have a 9 month old too that will eventually enjoy this) :-). Great product for the price. Hope this helps!

Great product for the price

My son in law put it together himself. Was easy to install, the instructions were easy to follow. Has a solid construction. My grandson thinks it is awesome he loves it.

good size for a average size backyard

VERY CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS, EASY TO FOLLOW. IT REALLY DOES TAKE 10 HOURS TO SET UP!
BUT NOW IT IS DONE...PLAY ON!

THE ONLY REASON I DIDN'T GIVE IT 5 STARS IS BECAUSE OF THE WOOD QUALITY...IT IS A LITTLE SOFT/CHEAP SO IT WILL HAVE TO BE MAINTAINED IF YOU WANT IT TO HOLD UP. I ADDED A FEW SMALL METAL "L" BRACKETS FOR REINFORCEMENT ON A COUPLE AREAS.

Once put together this is a great play set! It takes a long time to put together, so prepare your excited kiddo(s) for a wait. The smaller wood pieces on the door frame split easily. Instructions don’t say to do pilot hole, but remember to do them. So far after a few weeks of play, it’s has had no problems. When two kids are swinging at the same time, the top beam is creaky. I would recommend it, great value for the price and kids are very happy!

I only built the play house structure as I have a VERY small yard.  So no swings.  I levelled the ground and it stands solid!! Very happy. It’s only been up
For 2 months.  Ive sealed it once and it’s fading in high traffic areas.  As long as you continue to reapply sealant on the wood every few months. Looks like it will hold up great.

Poor quality of wood. 80% of the pre-drilled holes didn't line up. Ended up having to drill holes myself. Took 4 full days to assemble due to this problem. Would not recommend anyone buying. Spend the extra money and get something of quality. I'll be surprised if this set makes it through a Canadian winter.

Don't waste your money

Still waiting for the swing set to arrive at Site To Store. The first one we picked up last week was damaged along the entire side of the swing set, the box was damaged, and missing a lot of hardware. Arrival Failure.

I'll be glad to give an honest assessment once we receive one that is not damaged.
