The door has a plastic hinge strip, so plan to replace with a real hinge strip. Also there is a 1" gap inbetween the door and wall. The door stop goes 2" out into the opening so choldren could get hurt. When I notified the company they said the gap is so children don't pinch their fingers. But the trip issue meets safety standards. Told I can remove it if I wish. Then of course with a plastic hinge and no door stop, well it won't last long.

I went back and forth between plastic and wooden playhouses before choosing this one. I eventually chose it based upon the price/look and the play phone and play kitchen. It arrived quickly and dispite missing some hardware, I was able to assemble it by myself. My son absolutely loves it and plays in it daily. I added a small mailbox, pansies in the pot holders and house numbers and it looks darling. We could not be more pleased.

Great affordable wooden playhouse

This playhouse is exactly what we were looking for in our price range. Our daughter is 6, average height and she can stand up in it with plenty of room overhead.  She loves the little door, play phone and stove top. We bought a floor from the Home Depot bargain wood pile for $9 and it's a done deal! Very glad we chose this playhouse.

Amazing deal, great quality

The quality is amazing. The wood smells beautiful. It's labour intensive to build, but that makes sense because it's real wood and built to last. Only suggestions would be to include the flower pots as it's hard to find ones that fit perfectly. Also a bench or shelves inside would be nice.

solid foundation to turn a play house into a home

I ordered this playhouse for a third birthday for our granddaughter. Overall, the playhouse is of high quality cedar materials, with cute plastic accent windows and plant holders, and even has a sink, stove, and wall phone inside. It took about four hours to put together, with two people working on it. We ended up not receiving the door knob, two small accent wood pieces, and the door hinge seemed to be on it incorrectly - so these parts we will be calling customer service to hopefully have mailed out. But overall it is high quality, fairly easy to put together, and the child seems to enjoy playing in it. Perfect for one to three small children playing inside, but adults have a hard time getting in through the door. So, it is fairly small and compact. But very cute with the half door, two accept windows on the front, and three large airy windows on the other sides. A good buy for the money but the company should do a better job with quality control to make sure all parts are included.

Cute playhouse, but was missing a few parts

Overall, it's a very cute playhouse. Can't imagine a 10 year old playing in it unless they are very small for their age. My granddaughter is 2 and it's perfect for her. I would not recommend allowing more than 3 2 year olds in the playhouse at one time. But it works perfect for our needs.

Smaller than was expecting

Over all ok. But when I got it all the hardware was missing! I called because it was 4 days before easter and this was my kids easter present. They told me they would send them to me in 1-2 weeks. so I returned it and got the same one but with a bench for $ .99 more at another store (HINT FleetFarm)

Missing Pieces

This was one part of a larger playground build using several items. There are some clever ideas, but the quality is poor. Very few holes are pre-drilled, so you're either drilling a bunch or splitting a bunch. Was going to reach out to the company for some replacement parts, but there would be so many that it wasn't worth the call. Re-engineer this and you've got a better product.

A little disappointing

I bought this for my daughter's birthday and wanted to have ready for her when she woke up. It comes as a bunch of pieces of wood. You literally are building a house from scratch. After I get everything out, I realize there is no instructions. I was able to find it on google, but it was a pain trying to read it off my phone every 30 seconds. I had already spent two hours getting the main part built, which came with broken pieces that I had to try to fix. Then I go in the box to get the roof material and there is nothing! I wanted to die.  Spending $200 you'd think it would be some what nice, but it was a disaster from the beginning.  Don't waste your time!
