My second purchase of this mat. bought this one for my grandson. I have mine about two years. My experience is that it is 1" thick and has not ripped or worn out.

It also comes with two foam blocks which come in handy for some exercises. The mat itself is made of a thick foam that is soft but durable. This mat is pretty thick so it is very comfortable to do activities on. It even has a knee pad to provide even more padding if you need it. Overall, I think that this is a great product and I would really recommend giving it a try.
