Good grip.  Two issues I could see people having with them is the ends are larger than most and the rubber is VERY strong smelling.  I let mine off gas a couple of days outside on the patio.  Didn't really bother me too much as I am used to that smell.  I just wanted to see if some smell would go away.  It did, a little.

They have a pretty strong smell when you unpackage them. I wiped them down to get the packing oil off them and then let them air out for a few days. All in all, they work as they should, the grip is comfortable and the rubber protects everything (including myself) from impact. I've had them for a month now and the smell is either gone, or I'm used to it.  I'd buy them again, well worth it.

Worth it

these weights are very nice they have a very thick barbell and very thick rubber on the sides and they are not a cheap set that will come apart on you really easily they are very well made and they are very well worth the money that I paid for them

Great quality at a great price! Exactly what I was searching for! $27 for 2 is the best deal you will find plus I had $7 in Walmart cash so it worked out perfectly! $20 for 2!

If your want to get a nice pump I really recommend these weights because they have a good quality metal handle with a good grip and it will get you a nice pump

I love these dumbbells. I recently added weights to my workout. The only thing is a smell horrendous and I've had them for about two weeks now - and they still smell terrible.

I needed 15%23 dumbbells and the price was amazing for these, but as other reviewers have said, these smell SO BAD. I have been storing them outside since I got them a few days ago and they still smell terrible. Like a toxic gasoline smell that keeps off-gassing. Otherwise, they are perfect.

Good product but STINKY

.4lbs too light which is within the accepted range and they were both the same weight so thats good. But I also got some 12lb ones from CAP that were exactly 12lbs each.

The price was right and the dumbbells look good. But they have a strong petroleum or plastic smell. I've had them for a while and the smell is still strong.

Dumbbell smell.

The weights are fine for their purpose, but THEY SMELL horrible and are extremely oily on arrival. I had to wash them twice with dish soap, in two cycles, and put them outide to 'off gas" and dry. So, they're cheap enough and totally serviceable, but maybe paying a few bucks more for coated weights may be worth it.

Off gassing and oily out of the box, ok otherwise
