I just had to buy these!! I grew up in Muncie, Indiana and Ball was a major employer there for many years. I wanted to add these to my collection of old glass Ball jars with glass lids. 
When someone says Ball Jars, I think of Home and Mom canning.

Special edition ball canning jars very unique design. Had the number of years ball jar been around long time The quality of the ball canning jar is  excellent and it lasts many years of canning .Still have jars when I first started canning 49 years

The best jars ever

These were an anniversary gift to a couple whose last name is Ball.    They were an appreciated and loved addition to their Ball canning jar collection.  Thrilled when I found out the Ball canning jar company was celebrating their 140th anniversary year and it coincided with my friends' anniversary.

I buy all my canning products from Walmart because they are priced competitively and are in stock! Canners, variety of sized jars, lids, bands, lifters, jelling, seasonings, preservative, funnels, recipe books,  and so much more!  Always all there at Walmart.  Including these beautiful anniversary jars.

Beautiful pattern. Bulk of the jars are fairly sturdy for their size, but I do worry a bit about the rims or mouths being more fragile. Good capacity. Seals well.
