I Love these jar I use them for different things like cold lemonade and filling this jar with my preserved fruits and my barbecue sauce and my favorite banana pudding jars. You can use these jars for so many things I Make my rice water for my hair and soak my kidneys beans over night to make my red beans and rice.

Ball canning jars have never disappointed me or failed to seal as long as you use new lids every time you can and new rings if the old ones are warped or rusty.  The only complaint I have is that a couple of the jars had dented rings when I opened the package.  I'm not sure if that happened during preparation for shipment or while being unloaded at Wal-Mart.   Cost is WAY CHEAPER than other stores!

I have to admit, I first looked on Amazon and did not recognize any of the brands of canning jars they had. So, thought I would check out Walmart and ordered them to be picked up today and it was super, super easy!! thank you!!!

I purchased these for storage of beans, rice, oats, and flour. I was informed you can prepare salads for the week. I look forward to purchasing more and different sizes mason jars

Great for storing

I used 16oz Mason Jars to make Christmas gifts for my friends and family. I made batches of Onion Soup Mix and filled the jars with the ingredients along with the written recipe %26 uses for the mixture. Everyone loved receiving these gifts %26 I've even received requests for refills 😆

I am trying to rid my kitchen of plastic.  I bought a vacuum sealer and started with a dozen quart Ball jars, then another dozen, and  I need to buy even more.  I have already filled most of these smaller jars as well and will need to buy more of them too.  I also like the uniformity of the look:  much better than the hodge podge of plastic containers.

Safer than plastic

Let me tell you what I like about these jars…. 

First of all I buy the plastic lids. $3 for 6 or 8 lids. No rust no wear. 

I use these jars for left over soup, beans, chili, bacon grease, even homemade fried rice. 

Get yourself a $2 or $3 funnel and fill these jars up. 

These jars take up so little space. A 16oz jar holds just enough single serving. You can reheat right in the jar and eat right out of the jar (unless of course you’re eating at the table either way your family).

They take up less space, in the refrigerator, than bowl. 

Very useful!

Versatile and Handy

These alleged 16 oz pint jars are not 16 oz. my 15 oz cup overflowed one. maybe more like 14 oz. it matters. Not buying these again. Another example: coffee mate powdered cream shakers are 15 oz. their contents overflow with these Mason jars. I tried liquids and solids. overflow.

One of the jars had a broken bottom. I didn't realize it til I filled it with water to wash it. I can't bring one jar back without returning all of them. Would like a replacement jar.

the lids were rust right after I used them in my canner, Ball lids used to be the best and now the quality is not any good the lid paint comes right off and the seals had rust all over the coming out of the canner.
