I'm a very prolific dehydrator. I use these in my pantry to preserve dehydrated fruit, vegetables and other things. As the amber glass is supposed to keep UV light from degrading the dried product, it seems like a good idea. I wish they came in larger packages though.

Well made, made in U.S., Ball mason jars last forever, large size has been hard to find. A bit pricey but I don't see Ball lowering prices given the huge demand that still exists. If you want to try this but have doubt, just go ahead and buy a couple. You won't be dissappointed.

Order arrived on time and the glass jars were packed very well with the package in a box, inside another box, inside another box. They worked very well for fermenting kimchi.

Jars for Hydroponics

I use these larger jars for so many things and it was nice to find some that weren't clear to help protect the contents

Good enhancement of the clear version

I love the vintage color of jars and the wide mouth feature.  Its easy to place items inside jars and removal of items in jar is not constructed.

I got these for my Kratky hydroponics as it blocks the sun's rays.  I was using clear 1/2 gallon glass before, but had to make a ghetto cover for it that was difficult to tell if the water needed topping.  These will work great....well, at least I hope so as I'm testing it out now.  :)

Expense for getting only two jars. Same price for buying 6 clear jars. I hope the price comes down, or they give you more for your money.

incredibly breakable. really confused; first use a chunk of glass fell out of the bottom like it had a fragile thin spot. i use mason jars often and have never had a problem like this one. total waste of money.
