It's lightweight and cheap well inexpensive I have four of them now. I put like my roaster so it won't be on my counter I'll put it on top of that and it stands up that thing puts a little heat. Plus they're great for working with their little light some people might want to heavier board. I do have a heavier board and I use it for most of my knife work. now when I get through with them I just stack them up they fit nicely in the bottom of my cabinets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I was very pleased it arrived safely, but mostly I was very satisfied with the size and the quality of the cutting board and at a good price. I'd compared  similar ones at other stores and Walmart had the best one in my price range.

I love a good cutting board for both fresh veggies and bread. While looking for a glass one, I opted for bamboo. I use this one everyday and so far so good. I like the natural look of it. I love the large size. I love the sustainable material. And the price was surprising, cheaper than all the other cutting boards this size.

Love the bamboo

I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness and quality of this cutting board for the price! It's a substantial size in width, length, and thickness with it being nearly 3/4 inch of thickness in the wood (bamboo). The wood (bamboo) pattern and coloring are also very pleasing to the eye. The cutting surface is also nicely smooth to the touch. For the price I paid, I am pleasantly surprised by the quality.

Nice Quality For The Price

I bought this bamboo cutting board as a temporary element in my gourmet kitchen until the moving van arrives with my household items. As a personal gourmet chef, I'm totally thrilled with this cutting board. It's large enough to cut and chop multiple fruits, veggies, and meats, but just the right size to fit on top of my counter microwave. It cleans up fast, has a draining lip to catch liquids, and the surface of the board allows me to easily handle my chef-style chopping skills with ease. My knives easily glide back and forth while I'm chopping. Even if you're not a gourmet chef, you will love the quality and size of this bamboo cutting board by Mainstays.

I have a small kitchen. I put this on top of the stove and use as a second counter top. I usually have a pretty candle and a trendy pattern place mat on top of it. Perfect counter space for small spaces.

I bought this bamboo cutting board for my kitchen because it looked very beautiful and had a nice design. It was easy to clean and maintain, and I liked how it matched with my other utensils. However, after a little more than 2 months of use, the board split in half and I was very disappointed. I don't know if it was a defect or a quality issue, but I expected it to last longer. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars. It's a shame because it was a very attractive product, but it didn't meet my expectations.

Could be better

Unfortunately after chopping and cutting up vegetables where the cuts were made shards of bamboo are left and not sure how many of these little pieces of bamboo went into my food.  I am returning it.

Looks great but not practical for every day use outside of slicing a pear . Lots of small wood pieces are tattered on the board after only having for a couple of months. It almost gave me a splinter so I'm not able to use it anymore for full meal prep( i'd hate to get a piece of wood in my food). I also have quality knives so I think i'll invest in a better quality board.

Not for everyday / heavy use

the bamboo board cracked along the grain in 3 spots.  I hadn't even had a chance to use it yet!  I  can't use it now because bacteria may harbor in the cracks.
