Originally I purchased this for the price, but since have bought several times.  It gets the job done, especially considering the hard water in this area.  This cleanser easily cleans the rust and scum build up in my white sink and I don't have to add a lot of "elbow grease"

Wow, this bar keep cleanser powder is pretty amazing.
I live in the desert and have really hard water here. The residue is all over my sinks my handles everything in seconds it removed it as amazing. But read the directions. Be careful what you put it on as the instructions will say and if you get it, good luck I hope it works for you like it has for me. I did see a little bit of a discoloration in one spot on my stainless steel sink , but I think the sinks that I have are not that quality of items so maybe that has something to do with it. But it didn’t damage or stained the whole sink just one little spot where I could see that it looked like maybe it had changed the color a little bit.

This has to be the best secret on the planet Earth! This has to be the MOST WELL KEPT secret on the planet Earth 

THE STAINLESS STEEL COOKWARE were terrible with baked on grease for years that my mother had they were gorgeous now!

You'll never find a better product as far as I'm concerned I have tried everything but this product works. Thank you so much for making this product and it's so affordable too.!!

Barkeepers Friend is my go-to for tough, stubborn, stuck-on food on my stainless steel cookware. I sprinkle a little bit in the area, put some hot water on it, take a scouring pad and it's gone almost instantly. For the more stubborn cooked on stuff, I let it soak for a few minutes the Barkeepers Friend   water — it comes off so easily. Cannot recommend this product enough! It's saved me time, effort and cookware!

A must for kitchen cleaning staples

I am giving this 5 stars because it is the best cleaner I have found for restoring surfaces in the Kitchen and beyond. It is a great price compared to brand names and performs much better on tough stains.

​Performance

It worked wonders on my Counters to get off stubborn grime. I was especially impressed with how it handled the Rust spots that were starting to form around the base of my faucet. It also did an amazing job in the shower cutting through soap scum on the glass.

​Preparation and Tips

For maximum effectiveness on heavy grime, I mix the powder with a small amount of water to create a thick paste. It is important to remember the 1-minute rule and not let it sit too long to avoid surface damage. When I used it in the Sink I made sure to rub with the grain of the stainless steel to prevent scratches.

​Verdict

This is a must have for any home. If you have a stainless steel Sink or want to freshen up your Counters this is a perfect choice. Just be sure to test it in a small area first as it should not be used on marble or granite.

Professional Cleaning Results

Though mainly for stainless steel,  I actually got a stain out of my favorite jeans using the powder version and a brush, and it did not discolor the treated area!

On stainless, it is magic.  It also brightens the copper if your set has it.  Both the liquid and the powder are the best for leaving stailess immaculate.   

My tendency is to give pans a final pass wth the regular dishwater before I rinse, only because the feel after using Barkeepers feels different than using regular dish soap.  You'll understand once you clean your stainless.  :)

This cleaner is genius, no crazy chemicals or fragrances, no soaps or detergent it’s simply crushed Fieldspar  (a stone)  with a mild acid  found in potatoes. 
Thats it two ingredients and it works better than any other powdered cleanser I’ve ever used. Great on tubs and toilets, stainless steel and sinks. Try it on anything you have given up on ever getting clean again.

If there were more stars i would absolutely hands down give more! Very versatile cleaning agent..from stainless to porcelain. Living in a state with hard water- LOTS OF IRON- you absolutely need this. Literally takes the orange stains from the water in a shower or sink out. I went my standup shower and sprinkle, had to go to work and when i got home all the orange in the bottom was gone without having to scrub. Fabulous product

This is the best product to use on stainless steel pans. It’s not as harsh as other cleansers. It gets  my  stainless steel cookware back to looking brand new. Same with sinks. 
I have seen this product selling for ridiculous prices in some of my local grocery stores. Glad Walmart price is the most reasonable price I have seen. 
Barkeepers friend is one of those products that can make every day chores more efficient and less tiresome.

This cleaner worked well on our stainless steel kitchen sink. We have hard water, and the product did a great job removing the residue. The only thing I really disliked, was the strong smell of the cleaner. "Shwoo!" Luckily, it doesn't hang around for long.

I have heard about this product for years.  Finally thought I'd give it a try.  Bought it specifically for removing the tan and brown stains off of stainless steel cookware including the pot from my electric pressure cooker.

I was disappointed by the results.  After trying several types of application, making a paste, letting it sit after applied, scrubbing heavily with various nylon non-scratching pads and brushes, the results were mixed.  It did remove SOME of the black burn marks off of the bottom of a SS pot.  But even after multiple applications and a ridiculous amount of scrubbing, other black spots were not removed.

I did almost nothing for the tannish light brown "film" that covers the stainless steel on the outside of the pressure cooker pot.  After scrubbing and scrubbing, a little bit of the stain can be removed, but doing the whole pot that way would take hours and still not be completely clean.  Same thing for trays in the toaster air fryer.  Those light brown stains were not cleared up.

So it may be good for other purposes mentioned, but I was not impressed with it for this purpose.  My guess is any common cleanser would have worked just as well with that amount of heavy scrubbing.
