After buying many interactive toys from other companies and being disappointed, I thought this would be another to add to the list, oh how wrong I was! What a fantastic toy!!! The interactive features actually work! It's amazing!!! The horse follows commands such as, when it is walking if you say 'this way' on the left or right of the horse, it follows your voice!!! The fun mode button is great too! My daughter loves dancing with the horse! We have deep pile carpets which causes the horse to fall over, but works great on hard flooring! The barbie has a holder which keeps her on the horse and stops her from falling off, which keeps my daughter from getting frustrated, she also has joints so all limbs are movable which makes it feel very good quality too! The horse feels good quality and very sturdy. Unlike other horses for dolls, it keeps my daughter (and me too!!) entertained for hours, bigger than expected and definitely worth the money, better than any other interactive toy! Very happy with it!

My 5 yr old loves this. So does my 7 yr old. She thinks it's great that you can ask the horse a question and it nods or shaKeswick it's head. The barbie stays well on the horse. The only down side is that the horse doesn't walk that brilliantly on my carpet, it walks better on my kitchen floor. Would definitely recommend this toy

This Barbie Horse is absolutely AMAZING! I wish this had been around when I was little. Seriously! This thing responds when you speak to it. It walks in a straight line and in a circle and it also nods it's head in yes and no responses when asked questions. Needless to say my daughter & her friends have been quite impressed with how interactive this play horse is. It comes with a Barbie in riding outfit & of course that all important safety helmet! reigns for her to hold onto, carrots to feed the horse and a brush to brush it's hair. I'm super impressed at how far Barbie toys have came in the last few years especially with them being so interactive which is a big attraction for kids nowadays. This is a great birthday or Christmas present for any kid who really loves playing with Barbie or any kid who really loves horses and interactive play. It's legs do bend when it walks and it's mouth opens and shuts when it neighs or is eating. It has different noises and songs that it plays as well depending on how you are interacting with it. It is touch and voice activated and depending on which side you touch or speak into is how it responds. I am impressed with this toy by far from Barbie.

Such a fun toy!

My eldest reviewed the barbie dream horse who's 9yrs. The excitement when she saw this was epic. Totally thrilled to have received the playset and even more so when we discovered the horse moves, dances all by itself using sensor points and buttons around the horse. It even eats the carrots, if it's hungry or tells you it not hungry. So much fun and even my 4yr old loved it too. A must for all barbie fans. Would definitely recommend.

I love this horse!   It's hair is silky soft for amazing hair play!   Barbie can actually ride the horse because her knees actually bend!   I have to admit that the it is a little startling when the horse neighs and moves, but it is really fun to play with!

I highly recommend this for every little girl!  Best Christmas present ever!

Wow! What a fun toy. When my daughter first opened the box she screamed thinking she just got a great Barbie and a Barbie horse. Then she touched it and it started to move. She loved it. Its pretty easy for my 5 yr old to use it on her own. She put the Barbie on the horse and then quickly learned what she needed to do to get the horse to move around. The horse makes so many different sounds and will provide hours and hours worth of fun. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.

Great Gift

My daughter wanted a girl robot for her birthday. I wasn't sure how to find that until I come across this Barbie DreamHorse. First of all, like any other Barbies, very nice quality and standard Barbie doll with articulated knee joints and very nice custom horse riding outfit. The horse is seriously a true dreamhorse. This horse is so interactive, it can sing, dance, walk in response to voice or touch.  It even has the eating motion when fed with food. It can also talk back in simple sounds to the kids, which is like magic to them.  It's the most interactive and lively toy that I have seen with Barbie. With this horse, my daughter and my son can spend endless hours playing pretend together.  I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.

Fun and creative Barbie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My almost 5 year old daughter's eyes almost popped out of her head when she opened this, she was so excited!  And there is A LOT to be excited about.  The Barbie that comes with this is not a regular Barbie.  She's taller and has bendable arms, legs, and waist which allow her to sit on top of the horse.  The horse is beautiful!  She has long, flowing hair and a pink saddle that is color coordinated to Barbie's outfit.  But the real fun starts when you interact with her!  She can do soooo many things!  She walks, of course, but it isn't the choppy walking motion you'd expect from a toy.  It's a very smooth stride.  The horse will not walk on carpet though.  She falls over if she's not on a hard, smooth surface.  Other tricks she can do- walk in a circle either counterclockwise or clockwise, walk toward the direction of your voice when you call her, play music and dance, nuzzle you, and munch carrots when you feed her!  Munching the carrots is my daughter's favorite and one of the least complicated functions of the horse.  She loves to feed "her horsey" over and over.  Overall this is a great toy that has really held my daughter's interest and I definitely recommend it!  One thing to be aware of if your child is a bit younger though- setting Barbie up on her horse is a little challenging for tiny hands.  My daughter can't put on Barbie's helmet, put her in the saddle, or set the reins in Barbie's hands by herself.  Be prepared to assist with this over and over (and over and over).  Ha ha!  It's fun so I don't mind.  :)

The horse is very clever because it listens to commands. The front legs are quite weak though which causes it to fall over sometimes. It is a good toy for girls who like horses because it is similar to a real horse. You can plait the horses hair and Barbies hair too. Barbie sits well on the horse and doesn't fall off when the horse is moving.  If I really loved horses I would probably play with it every day. I play with the Barbie more often.

It's good!

My daughter received this for Christmas and was ecstatic. She then became very frustrated as she couldn't get it to do the things promised in the commercials and Dad had tossed the box with any instructions... After one very frustrating morning I filled the horse over and found a VERY TINY HOLE WITH A PLASTIC PIECE IN IT! I almost needed pliars to pull it out but I said to my daughter-I bet once we pull this silly little plastic piece out your horse will work-and after 5 full minutes of struggling with this stupidly designed plastic, it now works in full mode. This was after reading all the reviews here and Youtubing HowTo videos.... A lot of time wasted for something that could have been made Slightly bigger and labeled "remove me to get out of demo mode" as I've seen done on other toys... Very disappointed for the price. Glad it was from Grandma.

Great horse, poor design in some areas

Daughter got this for her birthday today. Nothing works except when you press button on head. Does not respond to touch at all, even started over on steps. Put in brand new batteries. Twice. Still nothing. Spent $100 on this stupid thing, just to disappoint our daughter. From sub a reputable company, such poor execution on the engineering for this toy!!!
