This is 75th Anniversary Barbie really resembles the original!! I have the original one the only thing the skin on the face does not feel like the original one I am sure they tried though its very close do not take it out of the box!! It won't be worth as much!!

Vintage barbies Rock!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this almost a month ago and am so excited to have this Barbie® Signature Mattel 75th Anniversary Doll.  I still have a Barbie from the early 60's, and the first Malibu Barbie.  This one, is going to stay in the box and not get played it.  It will be around to enjoy and bring back memories.  I got this for my future niece, to start her on her own collection

I absolutely love this Barbie! I purchased 2, one to display and one to keep in the box. I was never lucky  enough to own an original #1 Barbie but this Barbie is so close! I think the holes in her feet and the #1 stand are the icing on the cake!! Great job Mattel!

Beautiful doll!

After much anticipation, my beautiful Barbie has arrived! So worth the wait! She is truly gorgeous.  I love the original Silkstone body, I adore the original vintage Barbie, and this is a blending of a very lovely doll. From her curly bangs, to her painted toenails, this is a beauty I will proudly treasure and display. Great job Mattel!!!

Hello Gorgeous!!

This doll looks so much like the original and the feel, is so cool to have a heavy #1 like the original,the only thing I wished for was that they would have done the side temples like the original with the S curve instead of a straight hair-line other than that you won't be disappointed with this new doll her eyebrows seem to be in the right position too, not too high, and her bangs are full enough so you can work with them to get that original look. Great Repro love that she's a silkie, we want more vintage in silkstone.

75 anniversary #1 barbie doll the best one yet

I waited so long for this doll, as I'm not from the USA, I sent it to a friends house so he could bring it to Chile (South America) where I live. This was my first collector item and was going to be the starting point of my collection. As a new collector I told my friend to bring it sealed in the shipping box and do not attend to open it. The package and the box arrived in very good condition so the doll was supposed to be as good as the package. When I opened it and saw both feet damaged I just literally start crying, this was not fair, it was so hard to get this for me and the fact that it was wrongly made by Mattel makes it the worst experience ever. I was going to display it on my living room on a really nice glass and marble custom made display that I already had it made and paid for, I can not display a so damage item on a nice display its crazy.

Also I'm seriously worried as I'm not from the United States, I will not get a repair or re-send a doll as Mattel should. I just wish to have a fair treatment. This makes me so sad. This was supposed to be a little moment of joy and turn out horribly for me.

DOLL SERIOUSLY DAMAGE

This doll is A-MA-ZING, I can't describe what special she is... I'm very happy to have a repro of the first Barbie: the ponytail #1, the doll that started it all. The makeup is spectacular, and this one is special because she has white irises. The swimsuit, the sunglasses, the shoes, the earrings, all is perfect. I'm a not a big fan of vintage dolls, but this repro is gorgeous. And is the first "ponytail #1 repro doll" made of silkstone material.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've dreamed of owning an original 1959 Barbie but will never to be able to afford her so I settled for this and I'm extremely pleased.  I bought two, one to display and one to store in the box.  I read some of the negative comments about the imperfections and creepy eyes.  First, you get what you pay for.  This is very well priced for what you get.  And for creepy eyes, the early Barbies were very different looking than today's Barbies.  I wouldn't buy a toy if my child was afraid of the way it looked.  I highly recommend this Barbie if you appreciate the look and style of the early Barbies.  I think it's more for display than an everyday Barbie for a child.
