Once you stop “reading” the directions, sort, organize all the pieces, and then use a little common sense...assembly becomes easy. Note (6) R and (7) R, do not assemble on the same side. Took me a minute to figure that out no thanks to the instructions. Same goes for (6) L and (7) L. They must be interchanged, one R and one L, and connect to each other to assemble properly. 
Honesty would've been easier with regular screws rather that hex screws but so far the bed seems sturdy enough.
PRECAUTION: None of the hardware pieces are labeled, so you have to dump them, sort them, then count which screws go to where according to the pictures. But if you can make it through all of that, you have a beautiful bed.

Worth the money

This bed is absolutely beautiful however--it is not the easiest to assemble and it breaks very easily. when assembling the sides of the bed the instructions were clear but the pieces were not labeled correctly. I've had this bed since June and its already broken. on the left side the wood has completely detached and there are exposed nails (not safe).

Its great for about 3 months

Not worth it. Bed is super weak and not stable at all. So sad I spent money on this thinking it would not be too bad. Never again!!!

Save your money!

Looks nice but easily breaks, and will most defiantly need to purchase more wood for support because the center area sinks in since it has no support thier in which case will have to add more support. Honestly I wouldnt buy this again.

Don't Buy

I purchased this item months ago and I'm finally able to use it, the chemical smell was so bad on it, I couldn't even put my head next to it without a giant migraine. I tried everything I could to get it out until I finally gave up and figured it just had to air out. Pretty cheaply made, I should have returned it and got a wood one on clearance at a furniture store.

Reeks of chemicals

Bed is hard to assemble, just putting the headboard together is frustrating like the screws are not long enough.
