Headboard sits between the wall and the ensemble frame, attaching not to the bed base but to the legs, for stability. I am usually skeptical about ordering stuff online, especially when there are no customer reviews. I just re-decorated my room in a shabby chic style and this headboard was exactly what I was looking for. I looked elsewhere and I couldn't find a headboard as good as this one, and they were all WAY more expensive. GREAT price for an upholstered headboard. I bought the dark grey for my Queen sized bed. No complaints about this headboard, shipped quickly, absolutely love it. My only complaint would be that I originally wanted the white/beige headboard, but it said that it would be out of stock until four months out. I ended up ordering this one in hopes that it would look good still, and I am so happy with it even though it isn't the original color that I wanted.
