Draw

Very smooth draw as expected. The bow fits and feels so intuitive keeping focus on the target is easy. Rarely have I been so accurate out of the box. Fantastic bow..now I need a recurve to match.

Instinctual at it's best!

Great Bow

I recently purchased this bow, already having a Bear Kodiak, as I wanted to try something else traditional.  I could not have been happier.  I am new to bows and wanted to stay traditional.  I am strictly a target shooter, and my first two shots were bulls.  The natural feel is remarkable.  I am very happy with this bow.

Great bow! 60# not for beginners at trad archery

I own quite a few longbows/recurves that cost twice as much as this one. This bow shoots right there with them! Quiet and very easy to shoot. Definitely recomend

Great value!

I've shot the 50# Montana now for 10 years. Great shooting bow. 7. 5" brace height with the factory D97 string. Small yarn puffs. No hand shock and minimal noise with a 10-11gr per lb arrow. One of the quietist bows I shoot. Shoots a variety of spines if you have a solid bow arm with a good release and follow through. My draw length is 27. 5" and I can detect no hint of stack at all. It pulls like a big rubber band. I have other stick bows but this is my favorite to shoot. Perfect length for the woods.
Slim profile and a comfortable locator grip so it points well. Don't know how fast it is-don't care. It's fast enough and accuracy is what counts. Again great bow for the money!

Just purchased this longbow about a month ago, great shooting longbow, just buy a better string, really makes the bow a shooter

Awesome 1st longbow

I bought this bow about a year ago and it is one of the best Traditional American LongbowI that I own. I own several new and older classic traditional Bear Archery bows. The Montana shoots great, is accurate and fun but make sure you are wearing an armguard. Only reason I did not give it a 5 Star rating is because the leather wrap and string it comes with are kind of cheap and cheesy. Bear Archery bows need to come with better quality strings like they use to for the price you pay! Otherwise swap out the string and maybe replace the leather handgrip! Again, fantastic bow!

Great longbow overall!

The bow looks and shoots great. The only problem I have with it is the leather hand wrap. It's cheap and the seam is doubled up and loosely attached. Being doubled up that's all I feel at the first knuckle of my fingers when I grip the bow. Other than that, it's a great bow.

Great bow, but leather hand wrap is poor quality.
