[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My floors are old , dirty and dull. First I cleaned the floors with hardwood floor cleaner. Then applied the paste wax. I used my buffet. To my surprise my hardwood floors are looking better than it was.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My home was built in 1936 and has heartwood pine floors throughout.  I also have 5 dogs.  My floors are subjected to claw scratches, drool, spilled water bowls, and the occasional accident. Urine will permanently discolor wood floors.  I initially applied 3 layers of this wax, and it formed a barrier that protects the floors from scratches, and liquids do not soak in.  In order to keep them protected, I rewax once a week.

I'm a knife maker and love Tre Wax. It's simply drying out and cracking into chunks in the can. Does what is evaporating need to be replaced?
How can I return it to its original consistency?

The wax comes out in clumps. It doesn't apply smoothly. It is by far the worst paste wax I have ever purchased Don't waste your money. 
Invest in Butchers Bowling alley paste wax. You will be very pleased.

I have been using this product for more than 10 years. My last old can still has product in it. Soft just like it was 10 years ago. Yesterday I bought a new can. The product was dried out with about 45-50% evaporated. What was left was hard and unusable. I have heard of this problem but didn't believe it. I do now, totally unusable. Need to rethink your can's seal at least.
