When Belle's inventor father stumbles upon the Beast's castle and is taken prisoner, Belle comes to the rescue and agrees to take her father's place. With the help of the castle's enchanted staff, she sees beneath the Beast's exterior and discovers the heart and soul of a human prince.Special FeaturesThe most interesting of the extras on this multi-disc set is the storyboard for the first version of the film. British commercial animator Richard Purdum was originally slated to directBeauty and the Beast: he envisioned a darker retelling of the story with no songs. The storyboards and scratch voice track for this version offer rare insights into the creation of an animated feature--including the wrong turns. Although the artists boarded nearly a quarter of the film, the viewer sees very little of Beauty and nothing of the Beast; too much time is spent on Beauty's well-intentioned father, his comic horse, and her mean aunt. It's easy to see why Jeffrey Katzenberg rejected this version and called in Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. OMG.... I have been waiting for this movie to come out so that i could see it with my daughter who is 3 and she loved and it now is her favorite!!! Just like how i remember it the picture qulity is fantastic so much color!!!! This is a must have for any little girl at christmas!

An Gift for My Son

The quality is great, and its very clear. Like the fact that it comes with DVD and Blu Ray. I have been looking for the original Beauty and The Beast movie for so long, I was thrilled to find it on here. I loved this movie growing up and to share this with my 6 year old meant a lot to me. She was so excited. It is a little scary for children younger than 5 though.

i grew up watching disney my whole life, and still do, and this was my second favorite behind the lion king, so when this came out i had to have it.
so finally buying my dream home entertainment center, this was on of thie first i bought.
full of excitement i put the blu ray in and saw what an amazing job disney did with this movie, the restoration is exquisite, but being from disney their diamond editon blu rays are amazing. the PQ & AQ are great, the colors are vibrant and clean, looking like this movie was drawn yesterday, this was one of the last good hand drawn movies, with a little cg too, i love this movie and the songs are great. and being the first animated cartoon to ever be nominated for a oscar, for best picture says something too !!
bravo disney great job, anyone who is still a bit weary do not. it is a must have and a great buy !

Beauty And the Beast Diamond Edition

This is my favorite disney movie. I enjoyed the vhs to the point of no return. I am happy that I can enjoy this movie even more on the blue ray. The product is great.

We have always loved this movie and now we can see it in HD and the kids and watch their own copy. It is great.

This is an excellent addition to my daughters princess dvd collection. The extra disks have a lot of extras and also it has different (newer & different) viewings of the movie.

Excellent Addition

I sent this to my granddaughter who is almost 3.Much to her Dad's delight she has to watch it at least once a day. She of coarse will be Bell for halloween and many dress up days after. She loves it!

Disney DVD Beauty and the BEAST

I love the double pack with blue ray and DVD because this allows us to have in Two places at once. I believe that walmart offers these at the best prices. and deliveries on time always.
