I tried Becel Chef's Signature, Vegetable Oil Spread with Clarified Butter, Salted when I prepared my evening meals. Since asparagus is in season, I thought I'd try a bit brushed onto some freshly steamed asparagus -- very nice! I also used it to pan fry a steak and was happy with the results. It could be an aquired taste, but a light brushing of butter, or Becel, in this case gives the steak a nice bit of extra flavour. I enjoyed it!

Great quality, great flavour!

Caddle

Becel® Chef's Signature Vegetable Oil Spread with Clarified Butter, Salted (454g) is smooth, creamy, and versatile. The blend of vegetable oils and clarified butter delivers a rich, buttery taste with a hint of salt that enhances cooking, baking, and spreading. It melts evenly, making it convenient for sautéing and finishing dishes. A reliable option for those seeking flavour and consistency in a ready-to-use spread.

Good butter

This was a good alternative to full on butter. It had a reasonable taste for what it was. It worked good in my baking and was cost effective. Overall, I'd say give it a try! It was also soft enough to spread on toast which worked well. You could tell a slight difference taste wise when by itself on toast but it still tasted pretty good.

Good Alternative To Full On Butter

It was so good that when I applied it to my toast. It worked so well and it tasted good. Normally I prefer to buy real butter. But I need to lose weight that I would prefer to eat healthier by reduce the intake of animal fat. Now, I have found the perfect replacement.

I Like The Taste

This butter comes with nicer aroma than regular margarine, it's really a better choice for vegan butter and bakery. I used it for baking bread and cake and the butter aroma remains strong after baking. I grabbed the salted version but it doesn't affect much on bread, may not be good to cake tho…using it for spread on bread is easy too. However, the butter is pretty soft, it's a bit molten when I get this home, may better buy it with a cooler bag.

Nice aroma vegan butter

Seeing this new line in the store peaked my interest. I was keen to see how different it was from normal butter and what the hype was all about.
I was blown away by the results.
It has 8% clarified butter and is the best option if you're doing anything really from baking to cooking etc as it gives it that extra creaminess that makes it an indulgence even to eat on my own.
It is halal, kosher and gluten free.
I fried some eggs the other day with it and they turned out so different and fluffier than normal which gave it that extra premium taste.
Two thumbs up and definitely recommended!

Creamy And Fluffy

The Becel chef' signature vegetable salted spread has a rich creamy texture that spreads easily and delivers a pleasant buttery taste. It goes well on toast, sandwiches and for cooking with. It has a balanced flavour without being overly salty, making it a good addition every day to traditional butter

Rich creamy texture

We normally buy Becel for our everyday use and some baking, the rest of our baking is all butter. We used the Becel Chef's signature both for everyday and for baking. Worked like a charm, with 8% butter it was definitely more buttery in flavour and baked up perfectly. I will use it for everyday but for some baking still opt for butter

Becel butter

We just enjoyed this butter on vegetables for dinner and it was absolutely fine. It seems to be just regular butter and I am not sure what makes it “signature”. I could not taste the difference between this and regular Becel butter. Still good, though.

Not Signature, Still Good

This spread is great for different types of cooking. I like to add it to my vegetables and rice. It tastes mild and delicious adding some extra flavour to our meals. Being salted makes dishes taste better and more satisfying. It melts fast and does not have any aftertaste!

Great for main dishes

I am not likely to buy this again in the future
There are other brands that are just as tasty
I find it much more convenient to get this product in a plastic container, then deal with foil

They sell vegetable oil spread
