Strength comes from within, from a spirit fed by and led by the Holy Spirit. There is no way in the world to raise the next generation for the Lord without know Him and the power of His might. Heidi reminds me as a mother, that I don't have to do it all, do it alone, or do it in my own strength. The Lord has promised to do it through me, with me and by His strength. But I must KNOW Him to take Him up on that promise.

Becoming Mom Strong, by Heidi St. John, is a wonderfully encouraging book written to moms with such intimacy, it is like you are sitting down to coffee with a friend who shares genuine Biblical guidance with you on surviving and thriving as a mother in today's society.  Heidi encourages mothers of all stages in life to fight in the battle for the souls of our kids, helping those who are faint-hearted.  She reminds us we have a God who is aware of our struggles and desires to come along side us and guide us in our motherhood journey.  We are encouraged to seek God's wisdom by going back to the Bible as the source of our wisdom and strength for raising children in our challenging society.  It covers subjects that every mother will laugh, cry, and identify with.  Her goal is that every mom will look back at raising children with the heart sentiment revealed in 3rd John 1:4, “I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth.” You will not be disappointed with reading this book as it will certainly encourage you to be the godly mom that your children need.   She also has a companion study guide that makes this book perfect to use in a group fellowship study for encouragement and support.

No Greater Joy

The most empowering parenting book I've ever read! This is not a book full of formulas to "fix your kids". It is refreshment and balm for moms, which enables their hearts to be fortified so they can be ready to fight this battle from a place of courage and confidence! Heidi knows how to bring big ideas to the bottom shelf so they are practical and easily understood. Her writing is transparent, and she shares from experience how the principles in these chapters have strengthened her as a Christian woman and mom. I'm a pastor's wife, blogger, and women's event speaker, and I have to say this book is great reading for any lady in a mentoring relationship with kids, not only mothers. Learning the difference between the voice of conviction and the voice of condemnation, how to face my fears (prior to this book, I never viewed myself as fearful...now I am equipped...so I can say "Not today!" to the adversary), how to prepare my kids for rejection and help them suit up in defense of the gospel...these are only a few things I've learned from Heidi's book. I've done numerous book studies with groups over the years, and I'm right now excitedly planning my own study through "Becoming MomStrong" to encourage other moms (and reinforce what I've learned for myself!) using this gem of a resource. Highly recommend!

Loved it so much I'm leading a study!

This book is my new reference guide for all things related to being a mom.  This book covers issues from social media drama to just being tired and checked out.  Heidi St John not only gives her opinions based on her experiences (as a mother of 7 and grandmother of 2) but most importantly she tells us what the Word of God says about the issues we face as moms.I can't recommend this book enough. This book will give you new perspective on being a mom, let you know you are not alone facing mom battles and encourage you with what God says about being a strong mom!

A must read for all moms!

WOW! What an amazing book! Heidi poured her heart and soul into this book, sharing real-life experiences and solid biblical truths. I laughed, I cried and I nodded in agreement. This book is a must-read for any parent at any stage. Parenting in this day and age is more challenging than ever. With so much at our children's fingertips, like technology, social media, sports stars and Hollywood elites pushing their agenda onto our children. This book should be handed to all new mamas. With the Bible and Heidi St. John's, “Becoming Mom strong at your side” you will be ready to take on parenting, raise your children in the way they should go and when ready launch your “arrow” into the world! LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!

Heidi St. John is unapologetically holding me and and every other lady she can find, accountable to LEARN of God in His Word, and TRUST Him to do what He says He will do, in us and through us, and to WALK in that. God put her in my life at just the time I needed accountability to persevere, and a reminder that just because they are tall doesn't mean they are grown. Moms, Heidi is so accurate in teaching us that God has given us everything we need for motherhood in His beautiful Word, and He wants to train us and mold us as strong mothers who train our children well, for their sake and the sake of generations coming after them. It's all about mission and legacy, and unwavering faith. As Heidi says, "As you journey with Him, you will discover new strength. Be unshakable. Stand firmly on the authority of Scripture. Truth and accountability, joy and humor!

Heidi challenges moms to live a life that honors God. Her focus on the process of becoming the mom God called each of us to be is empowering. Real stories from Heidi's life mix with scripture to form an encouraging call to model a life of love and forgiveness.  I highly recommend this book to moms in all stages of life.

Heidi St. John hits it on the nail. I have been so blessed in my mothering as I have been encouraged to fight this battle in spite of fear. Never have I ever been more excited for a book release than "Becoming MomStrong" by Heidi St. John, The Busy Mom. This book has CHANGED MY LIFE. Heidi speaks directly to the culture, her words have empowered to be the woman, wife, and mom I've always wanted to be. I used to think there was a "secret" to being MomStrong or that being MomStrong was reserved for some women. But through reading this book, I've learned there isn't a secret to being MomStrong and it's intended for EVERY woman. We just have to turn to the Word of God and listen to what HE says, not what the culture dictates. In "Becoming MomStrong" Heidi is always pointing us back to Scripture and empowering us to be the women we've been beautifully designed to be. If you're a woman in ANY season of life from rocking a baby in the wee hours of the morning to having an empty nest, this book is for you.

LIFE-CHANGING!

Have you ever felt defeated as a mom? I did.  Thoughts of never being enough swarm through my head constantly, and between endless laundry, cascading dishes and overwhelming to-do lists I start feeling like I'm just the hired help, only I don't get paid.
And for a while, I gave up…
I've read so many parenting books and most of them I didn't even make it past the second chapter.  
Becoming Mom Strong was different. From the very beginning, Heidi St. John has been relatable and honest about mothering and how hard it truly is. She has done an amazing job at pointing mom's back to the Bible and showing us that what we do matters and the decisions we make and what we're teaching our children don't just impact them but also future generations. 
After reading Becoming Mom Strong,  my whole perspective has changed. We don't have to do this mothering thing alone! We have the creator himself that wants to help us mother out of strength, His strength! I have been so encouraged in knowing that what I do has future implications and that this season of mothering matters.
