Price

This product is fairly inexpensive, and is extremely well built! A great value for the money! I mainly bought it because I needed a larger, heavy-duty power strip, which could be easily and securely mounted on the wall, and which had a loooooong power cord (this one has 15 ft, which is the longest of any I've found). This has a very heavy-duty well constructed metal box and durable receptacles and switches, combined with a heavy-duty power cord. These are all features I needed in my commercial/frequent use application. The fact that it is also a surge protector is a bonus!

If I could change one thing about this product, it would be to have a 90º right-angle plug on the end of the power cord, so the power cord goes straight down the wall toward the floor, instead of jutting straight out from the wall receptacle. In two of my applications I needed to put a piece of furniture directly in front of the receptacle where the power strip was plugged into the wall, and because the plug on the end of the power cord sticks straight out from the wall receptacle, it caused the backs of the furniture to press against the plug, and still not set all the way back against the wall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my first Dog and Pony Show.  The basic setup here is five small buildings filled with radio gear, and one custom trailer with radios, computers and power supplies for very weak signal field activity.
As one could imagine there are several appliances needing to plug into 120 volt sockets.

The Belkin Ten-Socket Metal Surgemaster is really the only reliable distribution appliance out there. Okay, I had to modify the setup because there was too much input power cord length.  And, I had to drill little holes in the flanges to screw the 'Arrestors to wooden bulkheads.

Inside, there are bypass ceramic capacitors and Varistor devices. There are pushbutton circuit breakers, and the power switch lights up with an internal neon pilot.

The only way this product could be made better for people like me is to change over to a 12/3 Water-Proof S/O power cord with a suitable box connector, but that is something that would affect the price severely, so it's better the end-user grab the bull by the horns and do some modding,

Bullet-Proof.  Period.

I have a lot of chargers to plug in, an this holds them all.

i bought the north america plugs to take back to australia and declare them and passes through customs without a problem. queensland very often have power surges so i recommend using this surge suppression to take along with your electricals. those pass through customs without a problem.
