[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use Benefect Botanical Decon 30 Disinfectant per recommendation from our doctor for disinfecting nonporous items for mold, after cleaning-washing. We then discovered how universal it is to treat an array of pathogenic micro-organisms, including SARS-CoV2, and because my husband and I are immune-compromised from mold-biotoxin illness/CIRS, we use Decon 30 to disinfect most items that come into our home, after washing with soap and warm water. We especially prefer to use it to disinfect our weekly CSA share box of vegetables, and all other fresh produce, especially for leafy greens which are too delicate to withstand white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide that we use for hard containers like glass, metal and plastic. Spraying acetic acid and H2O2 concurrently or in sequence forms a weak peracetic acid, a disinfectant commonly used in food processing, but one spray bottle of Decon 30 is much easier and faster! We rinse food with tepid water after awaiting 30 seconds or more. We keep a spray bottle of Decon 30 in our vehicles with cloth rags for disinfecting, after washing with soap, between errands and to disinfect the vehicles. We use Decon 30 to disinfect the kitchen sink after handling raw meats, and after cleaning our reusable respirators (rinse and dry masks thoroughly after disinfecting). We've used it for seven months, since October 2022, with no ill effects and we haven't become sick. I also have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity but tolerate this essential-oil-based disinfectant without reacting, though to me the odor is moderate and can linger if you don't rinse with water. We like that the company fully discloses ingredients and regulatory reviews and testing data. We feel safe using it and highly recommend this product. Living with a chronic immune disorder and extreme mold sensitivity would be much harder and worrisome without Decon 30. We were offered 10 percent off our next order for writing a review but would have written this the same without incentive, we simply forgot to do so.
