[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though it is rated as a trout rod, I am using it for slip bobber fishing for Walleye. On the hook set it loads up smoothly and cushions the line well. I have caught many walleyes with this rod and the 8' length is perfect for bobber fishing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item because my friend had it and when I tried it I liked it. Despite the previous reviews of the low quality due to the tip breaking I decided to try it because he liked it. He was happy with the pole but then tip broke. He continued to use it with the broken tip because it was still functional but then the top half broke in half again. This has not happened to me but I'm contemplating returning this pole. I did like the sensitivity and the casting distance.

Beautiful rod, exceptional casting and feel.... for 5 casts then it snapped. keep your receipt. I give it 2 stars only because it is a great rod, perfect balance for my LEWS ultralight reel. just don't catch anything over a couple of pounds, spine alignment was great.
