Been using Nanofil in hi-vis chartreuse since it came out and I have not found a better line for snap jigging or vertical jigging. It casts a mile and very sensitive. I like the hi-vis to detect bites by watching the line jump as the bait is falling on a slack line. I have read reviews questioning the break strength of Nanofil and I have not seen that issue. I have battled 80lb Sturgeon on 8lb Nanofil and couldn't get the line to break when I tried. I will add that if you do experience issues, examine your rod guides for scratches, cracks or nicks. That condition will fracture the fibers and weaken the line. Replace bad guides and you will have no issues

I have been using this line since discovering it first became available in my area. It lives up to it's expectations on the longest casts, durability and keeping the fish on. I like the way you can feel even the slightest of bites and the hook set is sure. After landing 25-30 Pike I recommend clipping off a couple feet and retying. Laziness can loose the big one. Try it, you won't regret it.

Tough and reliable

I have seen a lot of controversy over this line, some really good, and some bad comments. I am on my second spool of this line, and I stepped up from 12lb to 17lb, and the hi-vis green. I have learned to tie the Nano-Knot and use it exclusively to tie on my terminal tackle. I just spent a weekend fishing in the Texas bays, and it was incredibly windy. I could cast into the wind with my spinning reel, and my buddies with baitcast reels could not. I caught trout and big redfish all weekend with no line or knot breakage, and this outperformed the rest of the team and their tackle

Strength and castability

I purchased 6# Nanofil for its castability with ultra light lures. My first cast was with a 1.2 gram spoon (1/16 oz) in an attempt to cover water under a low bridge. I loaded the rod in the normal way being used to the 4# flouro that I had been using. When released I could not believe the resulting cast. The lure shot over the bridge and hit the water on the other side. The bridge was about 30 feet from me and about 20 feet wide. INCREDIBLE! But now for the retrieval across an eroded concrete bridge with sharp edges. I got my lure back and the line showed no signs of weakness or fraying. I'm impressed!

Incredible line

I have been using Nanofil since it was first introduced. It is the best handling and casting super line I have ever used. It is also as tough as nails. There have been comments about knots slipping and I have never experienced that. I primarily use !0# test and tie a palomor knot for jigs and the Alberto knot for braid to fluorocarbon.

Casts like a dream

For most of my fishing life I had used what the line that was most common, monofilament.  I always had many problems with it bit most significantly line twist.  Every so often I would make a cast and there would be big loose coils of line all twisted around the line going through the guides.

I tried the Berkley "Nanofil" and have been amazed at the total lack of line twist.  I have 6# loaded on a Plueger President and 8# loaded on to a Plueger Arbor spinning reel.  Not only have I never had a single case of line twist in the eight years I am using Nanofil but the amazing line breaking strength to line diameter allows you to make longer casts with lighter lures.

Great line!

I just got a roll and was asked to review while it was still fresh on my mind. I have not used this roll or even installed it yet. but I have used a roll of 10lb line split between two small UL reels. I have used it for shad fishing in the Neuse River, inshore fishing for trout, and for stream trout fishing in the NC mountains. I have used it for 3 years now and it is just beginning to show signs of wear. It cast better than any other braid I have ever used, hold knots well, and doesn't tangle any worse than any other small braid. I have learned that I have to double my 4# mono leaders before tying on or the tiny dia. of the braid will cut them. using the mono double seems to have taken care of that problem.

Nanofill 8 lb. Green

I have been using NanoFil for about three years now and it has exceeded my expectations. I expected it to be like the first generation of superlines but was pleasantly surprised that it was everything it was advertised to be. Hook sets are just a flick of the wrist, it casts great, is very sensitive and the small diameter allows you to use a heavier rated line. For my Medium / Fast Action I use 17 lb. and with my UL / XF and Light / Fast action I use 8 lb. with great results all in low-vis green. I do run Fluro leaders using the double uni knot.

Best Spinning Reel Line

Received nanofil from a web sight for buying a certain amount of products it sat in basement for awhile didn't think much of it because I always used power pro slick . Then one day put it on a reel that needed line and holy smoke I was pleasantly surprised how far I could cast this stuff needless to say all my spinning rods now have nanofil. Would not use anything else!!!!!!!!

Best ever used

I bought this product in Low Vis Green and Crystal. The green disappears into your beadwork. I use this now on all my projects replacing the smoke Fireline - which can be very messy. The crystal is lighter and more flexible than compared to the crystal fireline. I find that it does knot more frequently than fireline - so try not to use really long strands.

The Nonofil 12lb test did not hold up to two atlantic salmon that were about 4lbs the line broke with hardly any fighting. Used trilene XL for years and never lost a salmon because of breaking with the same poundage. Very disappointed in this nanofil line
