I needed 4 clamps to span 24 inches or less but opted to buy 4, 36 inch clutch bar clamps instead.  I figured I may need to span up to 36 inches in the future so why spend the money on shorter clamps when the money could go towards buying these 36 inch clamps.  These work great at a great price.  A Grooved bar allows no slippage and holds tight once in place.  Quality product!
