Ease Of Use

Assembly process is generally straightforward.

I wanted to redo our closet and needed a nice looking storage for my shoes. I was able to store and nicely display my every day shoes and purchase the wicker cubes for sandals etc. the assembly was easy took me around 30 minutes by myself and I couldn't be happier with the results

Great for closet redo

walmart.com

Great buy overall. The finished product looks way more expensive than the price tag. A few of the predrilled holes were slightly off, so assembly took a little finessing. Once everything was lined up, it came together beautifully. Overall, it's sturdy, aesthetic, and gives that clean, organized vibe I was going for. Definitely recommend.

Solid, sturdy, and stylish

It is laminated particle board, but very sturdy and looks great. Especially for the price. Definitely recommend over the other brands you can find on the market. The dowels are plastic and seem to be less likely to break than the wooden ones. The shelf compartments are bigger than the other brands too. The top, bottom shelf, and the sides are thick. Overall, a great product! Will purchase again if ever in need of another bin shelf organizer.

Very satisfied!

Love how functional and stylish these cube systems are! The textured wood finish adds a nice touch, and they fit the larger baskets nicely. Elegance on a dime. I added legs to elevate the look. Definitely recommend, I also bought a small version to stack on top.

Elegance on a budget

Product was as described. I only gave three stars for sturdiness because why is there no backing. Please for the love of all things stop being cheap and give me better options for backing. I'll pay even a lil more. Otherwise the shelf serves its purpose.

Good for the money.

I like this BHG cube organizer. I have bought 5 different versions so far. They look nicer than most other cube organizers because they have a thicker outer frame. They are made of particle-board but still seem pretty sturdy. I have 2 in an office setting and 3 in a toy room and all seem as sturdy as the day I assembled them, which is pretty good considering they have been moved around during room rearranging many times throughout they. years. I'm writing this review after my latest purchase in September of 2026. I noticed that they changed the wooden dowel pins to a plastic dowel pin, other than that the unit feels the same and looks the same as the older ones that I own. They are pretty durable for normal everyday use such as pulling books/bins in and out and setting lamps and knick-knacks on top, but most likely would be destroyed if someone were too climb, whack or spill liquid on them. Over-all a nice budget friendly storage option.

Useful budget friendly storage option.

Bought this for the price. It was an easy build. Took us about 20 minutes. It's light. But seems a little cheaper made in the middle. But has held up my 40lb son. So I think it will hold well. Some scuff marks on it when we took it out of the box. One scratch. But it's going in a kids room, so that's ok.

Great for the price

Takes 2 people to assemble. Directions are mostly clear. The middle divider shelves are particle board and break easily if you are not careful with the screws. It looks good and I bought the baskets to go on the bottom shelf. It works for my mudroom storage.

Mixed feelings.

I was trying to assemble this and the cam locks literally fell apart before I put them in place (see photos). Can I get replacement parts?! I was halfway through putting it together!!!

Cheap hardware

I've had this shelving unit for just over a month. Tried to squeeze an organizer cube- that I will admit was a bit heavy/ full- onto a shelf and the entire shelf crumbled and broke. I'm just disappointed for the amount I spent. If I can get a replacement part, I still have to take apart the entire shelf to fix. Just junk and particle board that is not meant to hold up. I have a similar shelf from target, have had it for 3-4 years and never experienced this problem.

Particle board junk. Not meant to hold up.

Better Homes & Gardens 8-Cube Storage Organizer front-facing modular manufactured wood bookcase with eight 13" x 15" x 13" compartments (33 x 38.1 x 33 cm). Open-back design for cord management, stackable for vertical or horizontal placement, wood-grain finish; top panel supports up to 100 lb vertical and 150 lb horizontal. Often used as a low room divider or media console.
