This is my second Better Homes %26 Gardens dinner plate. It is substantially weighty, beautiful to look at, practical in shape and large enough to accommodate a good-sized meal . Cleans easily and stores well

Overall practical and attractive dinnerware

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't be happier with the quality as well as the look/design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these specifically for my final plating in my culinary arts class. They are simple, yet elegant, and lend a beautiful backdrop to fine dining food.

Lovely Plating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Better Homes & Garden ceramic stoneware. Square Dinner Plate.

Measures:
The 10.5 inch plate is the huge and really the perfect size for a meal with lots of food varieties. This plate is really big; easily fits xl size pizza slice!

The edge of the dinner plate is 1 inch from the table to the top of the plate (see pic).

Color: The top glaze makes the underlying colors beautifully vary in shading. The charcoal gray with a mottled (small black spots) finish makes a rich tone and expensive looking table statement.

Shape: To me, the square shape is kind of unique in dinnerware. Like you see at a restaurant.

The dish is both safe for dishwasher use as well in the microwave. I like how the dishes do not get hot in the microwave - the food does but the dish itself does not which is nice.

The stoneware is heavier than normal china and feels very durable / not easy to chip with daily use.

Accompanying plates, cups, and bowls are also available if you want make a complete whole place setting.

This is a big plate! It's great for lots of food

Great buy

These are beautiful and a terrific deal - they look and feel much more expensive. The side plates are terrific and a really good size for breakfast and lunch or small dinner plates - the large ones are on the big side and I eat lreally ight so I use them for small platters, piles of muffins, etc. They're heavy, which I like, and the slightly nubbly matte surface suits the Japanese-y minimalist style really well.. Food looks beautiful and bright on the very dark grey. One of my favorite purchases from Walmart ever. (I'm a potter who hates making plates - but I'm finicky about my wares . ) A .

Beautiful, substantial, love these.

My husband and I bought a house, completely re-did the kitchen ( most of the house), and wanted new plates and cutlery to go with it. Most of the rooms are painted grey, so we wanted stuff to go with the grey theme. These dark grey plates (and matching bowls %26 mugs) go PERFECTLY with our grey theme! We bought the full 16-piece dinnerware set, along with additional plates and bowls so we'd have enough for 6 sets. These pieces are so beautiful and heavy, and are such amazing quality! You will definitely not regret getting them!

LOVE These Plates!

I bought these as serving plates to mix with some of the Thyme and Table dishes... they have just enough variation to complement each other so well!! I was worried about scratches from knives, but we've had them 3 months and so far so good!! They're a great weight and size, and I'm so glad I got them!! I would say they're more of a charcoal color... very beautiful!!

Great weight and size!

Absolute junk dont buy. These are somehow painted and dish soap stains the black paint, making it turn blue. I bought 2 sets 3 weeks ago and they are 40 percent ruined after maybe 30 washes. walmart should pull these off the shelves. Really disappointed in junk product.

Do not buy this product! They stickers on there that will not come off!!
