The rug is very nice looking, even though it was a very low price for a 6' rug.  It is not very soft but many braided rugs today are not soft.  It adds color and texture to the room.  The colors are as shown, which is what I wanted.  It lays flat.  Can't speak for longevity, since I just got it.
