It's a relatively cheap rug so I didn't expect much, however I've owned it for about a month and it's already coming apart. 
It is a relatively flimsy rug as it's design obviously has no backing but even when we put a non-skid mat underneath it would still not lay completely flat, had lumps and bumps that would need to be fixed (Basically you have to either push the bumps from the center out or just completely pick it up and re-lay it)
I tried laying it in the sun to get it to lay flat but have not yet tried steaming it. I'm afraid to due to it already coming apart.
It is a cheap rug, but 200 bucks and it's already coming apart a month later? I'd say pass on this and get a more expensive but hopefully better made rug.

Permanently bunched up and big wrinkles won't come out. Hazard for tripping. Not really reversible, as stitching shows. Some braid mistakes also show.

You get what you pay for...colors are great, but it's very cheap. It doesn't lay flat.
