This is mostly what I had anticipated.  Two drawbacks to consider: 1. the automatic shut off doesn't seem to work.  I have not yet attempted to contact the company for guidance. 2. you can feel the wires sometimes.
I still prefer this to an electric blanket. Still a good purchase.  I like how the temperature control is a dial and not an electronic click/tap interface.

This mattress pad is warmer than the one I paid three times as much for a few years ago; it also heats much more evenly.   Although I didn't need the extra size, it will fit my pillow top mattress when I get it -- there's plenty of room.  I wasn't too impressed by the material on the sides and ends of the pad because I fear it may tear when I wash it, but I'm not worried about the pad itself.  The pad material is soft, but I have a feeling it may pill a bit when I wash it.  I'll know when I wash it.  Although I could see the wiring in the pad, I couldn't feel any wires at all.  This seems, so far, to be well worth what I paid for it.

Wamer Than One Costing Three Times as Much

Was sent to my Father as a gift. It does not do a good job of heating and he has only left it on the bed as it firmed up the mattress. I would not buy again and if he didn't live so far away I would have returned it. Do not buy is my recommendation

Sorry I purchased this product

Advertisement shows 2 controllers, only comes with 1 controller. Very disappointed. I need to control my side of the bed! No 3 people like to same temperature for sleep! This is very upsetting, the shipping was very delayed so now I have to return and go find another one with 2 controllers. Bad job Walmart!

THIS LASTED ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND THEN STOPPED WORK ING 
TAKING IT TO MY WALMART WITH THE PRINTER LABEL THEY SENT ME FOR A REFUND

Its a lo better than what you sell in store.

In north Florida November brings warm days and chilly nights.  I bought this so I wouldn't have to switch twice a day between the furnace and the air conditioning.  I had hopes that this may help keep me warm in the winter.  It's currently mid November and so far, I am having to keep it on high.  Although, even on high, I don't feel warmth from it.  It is keeping the chill off, though.
