Was as the product that it was represented as. Easy to install and works great.

This gate is easy to install and, more importantly, is so easy to open and close that I no longer try to hop the gate to go up and downstairs rather than to open and close it.  The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because you do install it quite permanently with screws which leave holes once you're done with the gate.

No more climbing over the gate

The retractable child gate was exactly what my daughter has so I knew it would work. I checked availability online at my store and it was there with a rollback price $10 less. So I went to buy it at the store and was told the reduced price was online only and they wouldn't match it in store. So I left, ordered it online, went back to the same store after I received the email saying my order was ready, and someone brought it out to my car. Also, I thought a rollback price was a new price not an online sale price. As I said a very strange shopping experience.

The gate itself is nice. The screws are not suitable though! Unless you are using them for a regular stud wall,  throw them away and get new ones. We screwed them into our wood banister and two broke. Couldn't get them out so I had to redo where I would put the gate! Because of this, it had to be higher and now my dog can get under it and through. Will have to move it again and then we will have several holes in our banister. Otherwise it's nice that it's retractable and nice that it can be removed if we need to move furniture or use it some where else.

Bought for a pet gate:

Worst product ever. First, the box was already open and ripped when we got it. Then we was so difficult to set up and lastly when we had it “set up” I barely touched it and it came unlatched ... the “lock” didn't even work. My son hardly put his weight on it and the whole thing came crashing down . Do not buy there are better gates for less of a price.

Worst gate ever !

This is my second time purchasing this type of gate. The first one I got on amazon. This time around I tried this one because it was about $10 less than the Amazon version. It's not worth the savings; this gate is so hard to open and close, you almost need 2 people just to manoeuvre the gate. Not worth it.

Spend the extra $10-15 to get a better gate

Useless locking mechanism, you can either push or pull the gate and it pops open.
