[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know anything about the quality of safflower seeds but these seem fine... not overly dry, don't stink like they are rancid so I think they are good and the birds love em!  Seems like this particular size and brand were a good value. I can use them in my sunflower seed feeder instead of the whole sunflowers which is great cuz the squirrels don't like the safflower at all!

Good Quality

I was eager to get this. The price per pound is less than shelled sunflowers. It was supposed to be great for birds, but squirrels would not eat it. Sadly, the wild birds here prefer sunflower seed. Unfortunately, the squirrel were bigger fans! Odd. 
Also, these are not suited for many of my feeders, because they are small. And, being light weight, they are easily blown off of other feeders or wasted by birds as they pick and discard most.
I'm going back to sunflower seeds. Considering how much of this was wasted or blown away, there were no savings.

Good Product. Wild birds here are not a fan.
