[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the houses within three days, which was nice. We had seen martins and wanted to get them up. The gourd houses seem nice and roomy. The only problem was fitting the two pieces together.   It was a challenge to find the two pieces that fit best.  Some would pop back open. We put strips of  white duct tape on the seams and inserted screws in the screw holes to secure them.  Even at that , I do think they were a good value since I've seen the same houses at twice the price.

The gourd is pretty flimsy and cheaply made, but we still have great hope that purple martins will nest in them. The size is much bigger than our other purple martin birdhouse.
