Got my birdhouse configured and tested and so far I really like this item.   The birdhouse is made with untreated pine so I opted to buy some tung oil to treat it.  I am impressed with the build quality of this, it's a lot more than just a wooden box.  There are vent holes, drainage holes, solar panel, and a mount to easily hang the included camera.   I wish they had a little perch for the birds outside then entry hole.  I added a long screw for a perch on mine.  This is the only feedback I'd give other than maybe treating the wood beforehand.  

Using the app to pair my phone to the video camera was easy and I still get a video feed after 150 feet away from my 2.4mhz router.  I got this as an Easter gift for my wife and she is excited because its new and fun.   Recommended.

It's a lot more than just a wooden box.

Love this birdhouse. The bluebirds found it wtihin days of me mounting on an existing ple with baffle and began ensting. There are 5 eggs now and I'm enjoying watching them nest and can't wait for them to hatch. I wish I could upload a video to show the quality of what's captured. Great that there aren't any subscriptions required or extra fees. I get notifications and can see automatic clips or watch live. Very pleased!

got this birdhouse to go with the birdfy camera feeder. these are both quality products, well made and the cameras are clear and simple to use! pretty entertaining, anxiously waiting for a birb to nest in the birdhouse with a camera watching them!

Very easy to setup and install.  It's a lot of fun and I feel that I got a lot of value for what I paid.  The wood is already sealed.  Just hang it with the opening facing east on a surface that animals can't climb.  A bird moved in within 24 hours in mid-April.

The downsides for me are that it doesn't integrate with the rest of my smart home setup.  I wish that I could get alerts for low battery.  I did have one day where the battery inexplicably failed but then it started working the next day.  I didn't get any alert about the battery, which is a shame.

Easy to use, doesn't integrate with smart home

We already have a Birdfy camera feeder and love it. The bird house is very well made, excellent quality, and priced well  We didn't it keep it because our home WiFi is a 5 GHz system and the birdhouse only operates on a 2 GHz system. 2 GHz systems have a longer range and better penetration through walls so it is favored for this kind of use. 5GHz is faster, but doesn't have good distance or penetration. Our feeder has a dual 2/5 system, so it works well. Unfortunately, they don't seem to make a dual system for the birdhouse. If you have 2GHz wifi, buy this product. Watching eggs being laid, hatched, and baby birds being fed and grow is priceless.

The camera is not working with my wifi that has 5 rather than 2.4 that is required.  I am not savvy enough to figure out how to change the wifi to the 2.4.  The wood that is used will split easily if you put a screw in to hold it on a post that supports the box from the bottom..
The information provided on the website does not indicate the setting needed for internet to work with your cell phone.

I sprayed the box with Thompson water seal in the hopes to protect the wood from wet weather.

Disappointed with wood quality

The initial birdhouse I received was defective.  It was assembled improperly.  After some back and forth with the manufacturer, I was shipped a replacement birdhouse.  The overall quality is pretty good if they could fix their manufacturing and quality control processes

They suggested that I paint the exterior to protect the wood which I did.

It took several tries to get the camera to properly connect to my WiFi.  A bird couple quickly occupied the house and started building their home.  The camera caught and recorded their activities and the AI tried to decide and categorize what phase of the nesting process the occupants were in.  It is not very good at that.  I now keeps asking if I am enjoying the little birds chirping when no eggs have even been laid.

One major issue is the camera keeps losing connection with my internet.  I have to reinitiate the connection every few days to a week.  The signal WiFI signal is very strong as my router is only 20 feet away through only one wall.  

Their app/website also keeps sending me many messages to purchase more accessories.  The system is essentially a marketing platform for the company.

Camera Is Not Reliable but Birds Like The Privacy

This is a really clever idea, but so poorly designed! You should definitely be aware right up front that it only connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. If all you have is 5 GHz, you will have to create a 2.4 GHz Network to make this work. Not a deal-breaker, but something you should be aware of going into it. But the box itself has a couple of design flaws. For one thing, the hole is much too big, and invites invasive species instead of desirable ones. Just know that you will need to reduce the hole size to attract the birds you want instead of the ones you don't, as well as keeping predators from raiding the nest. Also, the little solar panel on top has some angle adjustment on it, but I had to actually modify the mounting, and the solar panel itself to make it work in my application. If you don't, then you really limit yourself to where you can mount it, because otherwise you can't get enough light on the panel to keep it charged. I got it for my wife for a birthday present, and she had so much trouble getting it set up that she was ready to send it back. We finally got the bugs worked out, and she is very happy with it. The app actually works really well and the camera image is very good. But again, just know that you may have to make modifications to make it work, depending on your location and application.

Piece of junk. DO NOT BUY!  Camera drops offline everyday which means you must reopen birdhouse, unscrew camera, reset, camera works for a day only to be offline the next day.  Also the Briefly app is horribly buggy hence poor ratings on App Store.

DOES NOT WORK. Horribly disappointed!
