This pole is made with heavy duty 16-gauge galvanized steel tubing fully extends to 12 ft. Base section is 2.197" diameter. Two safety bolts to lock system and a 24" ground socket. Use the Heavy-Duty 3 Section Telescoping Pole with any size Birds Choice purple martin house. The purple martin pole and accessories are constructed with galvanized steel, secured with thumb screws and safety bolts, making the pole resistant to corrosion and great for long-lasting outdoor use. This product is proudly made in America and manufactured in our Wisconsin facility. Very nice, bottom tube fits into a sch 80 pvc conduit.  Puts together real easy.  Feels sturdy.  Just waiting for the purple martins now.  I ordered a second one.

EXACTLY AS DEPICTED, YES IT IS HEAVY DUTY.

The pole was costly but lacking.  The pole comprised of 3 lengths that sleeve inside of each other.  The fit is too loose and I added tape to pipes to tighten their fit.  There is nothing to prevent the house from spinning in the wind.  Overall, the pole was heavy enough but crude and not well designed.
