My sister and I were truly amazed after the first time I tried it on our living room carpet. The amount of hair and dirt that it picked up was way beyond my expectations. Never did I think our old style vacuums were so ineffective. I have no problem recommending this vacuum to anyone - it's one of the two best products I have ever purchased. The other product is the Bissell ProHeat 2X® Revolution® Pet Pro Deluxe Carpet Cleaner | 22839. Truly.

The best of the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really happy with this vacuum because the hair doesn't get stuck to the brush like in the vacuum I had before. Some hair still get tangled in there but it is so easy to pull out. I also love how easy it is to empty the container.

I love this vacuum!

I have a very busy cat. She is on everything and she thinks every open door is an invitation for her to walk through. That being said her hair is all over the place. Hence, the reason why I purchased the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser and boy does it WORK! I vacuumed everywhere I thought she had been. By the time I finished, I had a canister full of her hair. My other vacuum doesn't pick up this well. So, for me this is the best purchase I made. I don't have any dislikes about this vacuum cleaner. I would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone.

I would buy this vacuum cleaner again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great vacuum. When I first used it, I thought it wasn't picking anything up, then I looked at the canister and its picking everything up. I also went from a cheap, tiny cordless, so this feels bulky to me, but I just have to get used to it since it works so well.

Great Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Bissell Carpet Cleaner always picked up dog hair even though I vacuumed before using it. When deciding to replace the vacuum, I researched several and because of the good experience with my shampooer, I chose the Pet Hair Erase. I really like having the hand tools on the main vacuum. So far really please with my decision. It is heavier than my Oreck XL was.

So far this product has worked great, picking up more than I even thought was there (ew). I definitely am glad I got rid of my previous vacuum. I have yet to try the attachments, I bought it more as an investment, as I don't have any pets currently. However my hair is long so I was hoping the tangle free rollers would work well. There does seem to be hair left on the roll, not sure if the selling point is to stay working even if hairs are present, or if I have yet to full figure out the mechanism but so far it seems like it is tackling everything else I throw at it. As long as the roller continues to work with some hairs attached, then I would give 5 stars. I did purchase an extra belt as I read reviews that stated it is common to have to replace them. Hopefully I won't have to use it, but if so, I am prepared, and it's a relatively cheap aspect to maintain. I look forward to continued usage with my new Bissell!

4/5 stars pending further usage but great so far!

I had to purchase the same make and model as my previous one broke in 2 areas of the hose connected inside the vacuum. I had purchased some filters for it so i decided it made more sense to repurchase. We only had the previous vacuum for about 3 years. Before it broke, it did the job and the brushes on the roller did not get clogged up. I do not believe that the hoses should have split open after that short of a period of time so beware of that.

Good news-no hair tangles but vacuum only works well on carpet and not so much on tile. The majority of my house is tile and i constantly have to vacuum over the same areas to get vacuum to pick up dirt.My low end Hoover did a better job.Wouldn't recommend/buy again.

Disappointed

Heavy! Cannot get under bed. Terrible design to access tools as many steps to go from floor to tool and back again. Doesn't pick up crumbs on hard floor. Terrible edge function. No headlight. Cord always in way. Worse vacuum I've ever owned! Going back to a Shark!
