Can be generous, but sometimes falls short.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this on my carpets and couches works great, floor brush broke after three years but kids broke it vacuuming toys up, cleaning the vacuum as a whole kinda tedious but works great after definitely would buy again

I was highly impressed with this vacuum, my old dirt devil overheated and partially melted so I borrowed my grandparents vacuum (also a dirt devil) right before I went and bout the Powerforce Helix and I had about 3 inches of dirt that the other 2 vacuum cleaners missed. Being a mother of young children and having multiple pets this in my opinion is the best vacuum cleaner you can buy.

My family really enjoys our new Bissell. Your company done excellent job improving your product. Has better power than our previous product as this one has a wider pickup area and more power and very compact without losing any suction. Will keep buying your product into the next generation. Great product and worth the money

Nice vacuum to use everyday, lightweight & easy to maneuver. I had vacuum the day before but wanted to test this unit out when we received it & picked up about 1/4 of the container from only one room. Have 3 dogs so good to know it will do a good job getting down deep. Recommend this vacuum especially for someone who could not move a heavy unit easily.

Great vacuum

I love my new Bissell! This is the best cleaner for me! I never had any doubts about this cleaner. It is the 3rd Bissell that I have bought. The other two were so good too. I only bought new ones because of the newer features that were available and the fact that I wore the other two cleaners out. I will always buy Bissell.

I would never buy any other brand but Bissell!

Works wonders... My old Bissell lost the belt after 7 years. And needs new roller... So figuring the motor was worn too... Bought Bissell 1700... Less amps than old one but cleans better and lighter weight.. looked at pricier ones thinking would be better.. reviews of small parts breaking, making vac useless scared me off. Over years I had bad luck with electronics, so wary of buying stuff that may break.. Warranty/return policies are headaches... My 7 yr old Bissell works.. So bought Bissell again. I vac twice per month & small house...cleans great!!! Takes dog hair off short naparea rug... Old vac couldnt. Hose a bit short but light weight means easy to pick up vac.

Very good cleaning

This vacuum picks up pet hair well, and dumping the cylinder doesn't result in dust everywhere. What I like best about this model is the tank sits back from the roller, so I can get farther under furniture easily. It also has good suction on the edges. The suction from the hose feature is a bit weak, but since it's light enough to hold and use on stairs, that doesn't matter to me.

Lightweight, but cleans great!

There are four people, one dog, and two cats in my household. We are surrounded by trees and all the debris that comes with it. I found this cleaner to be great for quick clean-up or low traffic areas, but not as effective on high traffic areas. I definitely need heavy duty for my heavy-hitters!

Great for Light Cleaning

I bought this vacuum, hoping that it would be great for my home with my pets, but only after a month, it broke this vacuum was not worth my money.

Breaks down after a month

This vacuum works well on carpet. After that it is quickly downhill. There is only one short hose extension, get ready for a bad back from leaning down to vacuum! Hard to adjust the level on the vacuum. If set to floor level it scratches hard wood floors. All and all, stay away from this vacuum!!

Do not buy! Hose extension worthless, only good on carpet!!
