Awesome tailgate ramp

Just what I wanted and needed. Tongue holds 500lbs, ramp w'carrier holds 600lbs, my 2006 GsxR1000 with a full tank weighs apprx. 400lbs and will never be loaded full, the ramp weighs 86lbs. Leaves at least 14 lbs to spare. A'lil nervous on the maiden voyage and several checks where done but once you get used to it, it's pretty consistent and has become a valuable tool. Still takes 2 to load but doesn't take much muscle. I recommend the light hook ups too. Looks and works well.

Just what I needed....

I ordered this trailer for a trip to YellowStone from Tampa Florida. I started from Tampa to Helen GA. I camped up a mountain at Low Gap Campground.. I climbed a mountain for 25-30 mins with the bike on the back. All went well . From Helen I visited my uncle in Knoxville. No problems. From there we went to Chattanooga. Rode around all north Georgia . We left Chat n went straight to YELLOWSTONE! Of course the first stretch you are skeptical about the rocking and bobbing of the carrier but after a few hours you stop looking in your rear view because it's so solid. Tennessee and Missouri has the absolute worst roads n you wouldn't realize it until you're scared the love of your life may fall off going 70 on a freeway lol. I hit one whoopdido that had my front tires on the truck literally jump off the ground. I looked back and my baby girl was still tied down to that thing. Anyways I just pulled into my drive way took the hitch out and not a single flaw! I will be using this again.

2016 Harley Roadster (5000+ miles) 563 LBS

Just made a trip From Chicago to California. I wanted to have the back of my Silverado tonneau cover closed and locked to keep stuff safe and dry. I knew I had to take my bike. Couldn't afford a trailer and did not have anywhere to store one. When I saw the Black Widow carrier I knew I found my solution. I was very nervous about the weight and suspension. The truck rode like the bike was never even there. I was able to store carrier behind my apartment parking spot with a chain and lock. The parking is extra $. Would have had to pay for a trailer parking spot. This carrier is a $ and timesaver. Easy to load bike. Riding through the Redwoods. Here I come!

Room saver

Ramp was excellent and delivered quickly! Front chock did interfere with the bikes lower fairing but was easily removed with just a few bolts. The ramp has done so well, I've already told my riding friends. Great product at an excellent price! Thanks!

Triumph Street Triple RS hauler

First off I never wright reviews but this time believe I have to make a acceptation. Trial by fire with a trip of 1200 miles that I have made many times from Florida to Texas. Have done this with the bike in the back of my truck. Purchased the Hitch mount to save on space and ease of loading and unloading bike. Worked with absolutely no issues from assembly to installation to loading the bike and removal. My travel was also down some roads that are not the smoothest and and the hitch mount worked flawless. Still have 1200 miles to get back home and the expectation is it will be accomplished with no anomalies.

Better than expected

It's heavy... really heavy. I expect nothing less for a hitch-carrier that is rated for a 600lb motorcycle. Removing the steel ramp makes life a bit easier if you're trying to move or attach the carrier by yourself. I'm a 5'10" 200lb guy (fat mostly.. ha) and I can manage it on my own, but it is heavy and awkward enough you'd better learn how to pivot it around on the ground and think very carefully about how you decide to lift it if by yourself, not to throw out your back. Lift with the knees!

Solid piece of kit. +1 would recommend. Excellent value.

So I used carrier to take motorcycle on a 300 mile trip. 78 Yamaha 750e(550 lbs).no problems,even loaded myself.rode well,does block some of tail lights.truck suspension didn't even really squat.

Works well

I have a 500 lbs bike and the rack is pretty stable with the pinch bolt and anti-tilt box. I had to manufacture some wooden walking ramps for either side to safely load my heavy bike. The ramp is slightly bent after putting the bike on but it seems that's all the bending it's going to do as I learned from reading other reviews. Not sure I'd put a 600lb max capacity bike on the rack due to that bending. Might eventually switch to a trailer instead but this works well for now and has a reasonable price point compared to a trailer.

Okay. Gets the job done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to put on the camper to haul a 450 lb motorcycle. To play it safe, I got this one instead of the 500 lb capacity one. During the Easy assembly, I started with the "main hitch tube" and the rest of the parts. When I got to the "carrier frame" well... the center bar on it does Not align directly over the "hitch tube", as one would think as to carry/spread the load evenly. What?! Also during assembly... got my fingers stabbed a few times from shards of the remaining Mig Welds. And finally... I had bought the "Apex Anti-Tilt Locking Device" for an additional $29.00, as it did Not say in the description that one came with the carrier. However... it came with one.

A little pricey but a decent piece.

Parts did not line up evenly causing the entire unit to lean left and low. The painted parts had several scratches, and the platform where the bike sits had several gouges in it. One 8 hour trip with rain half the time resulted in rust on all the welded seam areas. High hopes but very disappointed.
