The Blackstone Wind Guards help to deflect the annoying effects of wind on the griddle.&nbsp; Strong winds can become a challenge when griddling, as it can decrease the temperature or extinguish the flames while you are cooking. But with the Wind Guards, you can griddle with more control without worry of the weather. Simply hook the Wind Guards over the edge of the griddle top and use the griddle as you normally would. These wind guards do not work the same with units that have hoods. They can be used as long as the hood is in the up position.

Blocks the wind...and let's the heat do the work.  We cook on a lake in Michigan where wind is abundant.  These guards allowed the unit to get hotter and cook in all locations.  Why not make these a standard part of  all units?  I'd pay for it!

Worth the coin...

Easy to install keeps the wind flame blowing out.works like a charm

2 second install

Even though we have a 22" BS that we carry in our coach, I was able to use these to replace the cardboard and aluminum foil windscreens my wife was making. Not perfect but effective.

Works on a 22"

The side ones were great on the 22 inch but the back ones hang off a little bit. Wish they made them for the 22 inch grill. Great quality product. Does a great job of keeping the wind from blowing out my flame.

Works but a bit clunky for 22” grill

I never give 5 stars because products can always get better. This does the job as needed. Where I live 10 mph winds are a normal in the earlier months. My flames used to go out. Key word USED to. Not anymore. Black stone should just have them on with every unit.

Bring on the wind

Wind guards do not fit the Blackstone Range Top Combo - 28" Griddle with Bonus Fryer. Only the side guards can be used. The rear guards can't be used with the hood attached to the griddle. Just having them on the sides helps contain the heat and eliminates the effects of strong winds. I purchased them to contain the heat as without them, the shelf is too hot to use while cooking. Very well made. I can keep the side guards on and close the hood. Too bad they don't make a kit that fits the Range top combo correctly. I would give it 5 stars if these fit the griddle.

Not designed for Blackstone Range Top Combo - 28"

They are just ok on the 17” griddle. I wish they made some specifically for the 17” griddle

I wish there were wind guards for the 17” griddle.

I have the 28” Pro and try do not seem to be very good as blocking the wind.  Live on the coast and will invest in the cheap scrapers I hear about.  With the blockers on I still had spots heated at 325 and other spots at close to 500.  The vent seems to let the air in as much as if no blockers used.
