The Blackstone Wind Guards help to deflect the annoying effects of wind on the griddle.&nbsp; Strong winds can become a challenge when griddling, as it can decrease the temperature or extinguish the flames while you are cooking. But with the Wind Guards, you can griddle with more control without worry of the weather. Simply hook the Wind Guards over the edge of the griddle top and use the griddle as you normally would. These wind guards do not work the same with units that have hoods. They can be used as long as the hood is in the up position.

Blocks the wind...and let's the heat do the work.  We cook on a lake in Michigan where wind is abundant.  These guards allowed the unit to get hotter and cook in all locations.  Why not make these a standard part of  all units?  I'd pay for it!

Worth the coin...

After grilling several times in the wind, i almost fabricated my own wind guards. A friend mentioned that Blackstone actually made guards specifically for the 28" flat top.
Considering the price point, this was a perfect addition to my grill. Even heat, predictable flame, outstanding results.

These fit the 28 inch Blackstone grill perfectly and does its job. It looks good and attaches easily.

Blackstone wind guards great addition

The wind guards work good.  They stop the wind from blowing the flames/heat from the back and sides of the griddle.

The side ones were great on the 22 inch but the back ones hang off a little bit. Wish they made them for the 22 inch grill. Great quality product. Does a great job of keeping the wind from blowing out my flame.

Works but a bit clunky for 22” grill

Wind guards do not fit the Blackstone Range Top Combo - 28" Griddle with Bonus Fryer. Only the side guards can be used. The rear guards can't be used with the hood attached to the griddle. Just having them on the sides helps contain the heat and eliminates the effects of strong winds. I purchased them to contain the heat as without them, the shelf is too hot to use while cooking. Very well made. I can keep the side guards on and close the hood. Too bad they don't make a kit that fits the Range top combo correctly. I would give it 5 stars if these fit the griddle.

Not designed for Blackstone Range Top Combo - 28"

They are just ok on the 17” griddle. I wish they made some specifically for the 17” griddle

I wish there were wind guards for the 17” griddle.

I have a 28 inch grill but these would not fit.  I didn't read anywhere that it only fit certain grills so i wasted my money on this.
