Grease Trap

Offers affordable options compared to others.

Provides a secure cover over the griddle.

Made with sturdy materials that fit well.

Sits above the grill surface, providing protection.

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition, fits perfectly. It does hang at an angle if you have rear grease catcher (states that on the instruction sheet) but was not an issue for me while cooking. It will keep the soft cover from sagging from rain and add another layer of protection to the griddle top, highly recommend!

Great addition to the griddle!

walmart.com

The fabric cover is not completely waterproof so if there is a hard rain water will puddle on top and seep in onto your grill. The hard cover is perfect! Also, when the grandbabies are here it will be an added protection when we are done grilling to cover the warm top.

Hard cover....perfect!

blackstoneproducts.com

This is a genuine Blackstone accessory. The fit and finish is quality. The handles make it easy to place over the griddle or to hang it over the back on the provided brackets when the griddle is in use. This cover keeps the griddle clean and protected.

Good product, buy it with confidence.

I bought this for my husband and its nice to cover, because it's sturdy and heavy enough that it stays put. The downside is that its a little tricky to stick on the back with the provided "hooks" it makes it a tiny but more difficult to scrape remnants into the grease trap too because it sits so far forward. Those things aside though, its a good product for it's intended purpose

This cover is great for keeping your cooking surface covered, but to protect the entire griddle itself you need another slip-over full cover. Also, from other reviews and our personal experience, expect it to arrive with dents or dings. Ours had to have a dent bent out before it would go on. Pkg isn't sturdy enough to protect it.

Not waterproof, arrived dented

I was excited when I saw it had two hooks underneath the hardcover to hang on the back of the griddle. I became disappointed to find that when you want to hang it on the back, it does not fit correctly if you have the grease pan attached so I did not attach it.
However, it seems that if you attach it while cooking, the cover would become too hot to touch.
I would suggest that you purchase the blackstone that has the lid rather than this cover, but, it is 100% better than not having either.
I have the 17” model with the lid and I prefer the 17” configuration with lid to the 28” with hard cover.

Opt for the lid (if it is an option)

Grill cover fits over the griddle well and does the job. It is designed to hang off the back of the grill the gridle is in use, but it seems at some point the grease cup was moved to the back of the grill. So when you hang the cover of the back when you are using the griddle, the cover leans at an angle covering the back of the griddle top due to the presence of the grease cup. Everything works fine but considering what I paid the design seem like a kluge. The cover should be out of the way when the grill is in use.

Blackstone 28" Griddle cover

Great idea, but it doesn't fit. Im not sure if its because of the design of the griddle thats not perfectly square or the hard cover is not made square. Im not sure, but i have to perfectly line up the 4 corners then push it down one corner at a time and go around till its on, then to pull it of it actually pulls the griddle off the base until i can work it loose. And its not down but about half way. Frustrating. But it looks good once i get it pressed on.

Hard cover doesn't fit the griddle

My order arrived missing parts (the hanging hooks)... which defeats several functions. Without hooks, you have no means to store (hang) the Cover when using griddle, it cannot function as a splash guard, and it cannot function as a wind guard.

The return process delayed replacement delivery by over 2 weeks.

Missing Parts

Cover did not include brackets for attaching the cover to the grill when in use. Wish I had seen the other recent reviews stating theirs arrived without the part as well.

The cover itself is strong but easy to lift. Be careful installing the screws as the metal doesn't take much to strip.

I have a silicone cover on my grill, and the metal grill cover fits over it just fine.

Great(ish), If Not Missing Parts

Blackstone hard cover for 28" Griddle centered front-facing view of a hard steel 28 x 18.5 x 2.8 in black lid with powder-coated finish, two carrying handles and rear hanging brackets, compatible with front or rear grease griddle tops and suitable for protecting from rain and snow; often used as a protective lid for outdoor prep surfaces.
