The fabric cover is not completely waterproof so if there is a hard rain water will puddle on top and seep in onto your grill.   The hard cover is perfect!  Also, when the grandbabies are here it will be an added protection when we are done grilling to cover the warm top.

This is a genuine Blackstone accessory.  The fit and finish is quality. The handles make it easy to place over the griddle or to hang it over the back on the provided brackets when the griddle is in use.  This cover keeps the griddle clean and protected.

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition, fits perfectly. It does hang at an angle if you have rear grease catcher (states that on the instruction sheet) but  was not an issue for me while cooking. It will keep the soft cover from sagging from rain and add another layer of protection to the griddle top, highly recommend!

Great addition to the griddle!

The cover that fits the 28” griddle is unbelievable! The quality of the material and the reinforced corners, well, totally unexpected for a cover at this price point. The waterproof lining on the inside that will product my griddle looks durable and should last a long long time. My Weber grill cover is twice the price and 1/2 as good. I'm truly pleased with all the Blackstone products I've purchased. Nothing compares at these prices!

28” griddle cover is remarkable

This cover is great for keeping your cooking surface covered, but to protect the entire griddle itself you need another slip-over full cover. Also, from other reviews and our personal experience, expect it to arrive with dents or dings. Ours had to have a dent bent out before it would go on. Pkg isn't sturdy enough to protect it.

Not waterproof, arrived dented

I was excited when I saw it had two hooks underneath the hardcover to hang on the back of the griddle. I became disappointed to find that when you want to hang it on the back, it does not fit correctly if you have the grease pan attached so I did not attach it.
However, it seems that if you attach it while cooking, the cover would become too hot to touch.
I would suggest that you purchase the blackstone that has the lid rather than this cover, but, it is 100% better than not having either.
I have the 17” model with the lid and I prefer the 17” configuration with lid to the 28” with hard cover.

Opt for the lid (if it is an option)

Grill cover fits over the griddle well and does the job. It is designed to hang off the back of the grill the gridle is in use, but it seems at some point the grease cup was moved to the back of the grill. So when you hang the cover of the back when you are using the griddle, the cover leans at an angle covering the back of the griddle top due to the presence of the grease cup. Everything works fine but considering what I paid the design seem like a kluge. The cover should be out of the way when the grill is in use.

Blackstone 28" Griddle cover

My order arrived missing parts (the hanging hooks)... which defeats several functions.  Without hooks, you have no means to store (hang) the Cover when using griddle, it cannot function as a splash guard, and it cannot function as a wind guard.

The return process delayed replacement delivery by over 2 weeks.

Missing Parts

Great idea, but it doesn't fit.  Im not sure if its because of the design of the griddle thats not perfectly square or the hard cover is not made square.  Im not sure, but i have to perfectly line up the 4 corners then push it down one corner  at a time and go around till its on,  then to pull it of it actually pulls the griddle off the base until i can work it loose.   And its not down but about half way.  Frustrating.  But it looks good once i get it pressed on.

Hard cover doesn't fit the griddle

It didn't fit my 28inch blackstone.  The cover is good but now I have a problem with the griddle that I didn't know I had until I purchased the cover!  The bad part is that both the griddle and cover were gifts for my Father.  The cover cannot be used.
