I've been buying Lightning Rods since they 1st came on the market and still have every rod with no failure. The rods are strong, light weight and comfortable to fish all day. You can't beat the price, especially for the quality. I've spent almost 10 times as much on other rods, but always go back to my lightning rod

1st...Great quality. 2nd...Great Price. 3rd...Great rod for fishing from kayak, canoe or inflatable. The short length is easy to handle while seated and lets you easily flip up under trees and cover. It loads great with 1/4 oz jig/grubs or 3/8 to 1/2 oz small cranks. It loads easy and has plenty of backbone to pull fish from cover.

Love the rod and shorter length!

My casting is much better now which I credit to the pistol grip. The feel of the rod is perfect for me. Not too stiff yet not too loose. I have already caught several bass and the rod handled very well.

I have bought a couple of these because I like the pistol grip rods. Up until this model the tips have been too flexable. The lightning Rods have a faster tip making them much nice than the Ugly stick rods. I'll be buying more of them.

Faster action, love it

These rods are amazing! I still can't believe they are so inexpensive... I actually keep buying them because I'm so thrilled with the performance and price. I have six of them now. The rods have the perfect action for walleye and bass fishing. They are crisp and sensitive with a perfect shut off position which provides awesome lifting power while still protecting light leaders.

Best value in the fishing world!

The pistol grip is the best handle on a pole for me. I just wish you would make the 5 1/2 foot pole again. The cork makes it very comfortable to hold for hours.The new pistol triggers are too flat and hurt the finger after a while where the cork handle triggers are more rounded and comfortable. I don't care for the extended handle on the new models  neither.

Nice change to the appearance of the rod. Seems lighter and more balanced. Great sensitivity for the money.

Good rod for a reasonable price

The 7' Medium Lightning Rod casting rod works great for pulling spinners behind bottom bouncers for walleye.  Had a mishap and lost one into the lake.  Bought two more to replace it.

Bottom Bouncers

Used the rod once and pleased with purchase.  Tip a bit stiffer than anticipated but great rod for price. Good general purpose rod.

Good value

Ordered on 6/8, delivered on 6/13, garbage on 7/11.  Pretty disappointed as I've had good luck with Lightning Rods in the past but this one snapped about 3/4 of the way up on a cast.

Broke after a month.
