I love anything Bob's Red Mill. These lentils are the bomb! They don't get mushy have a great texture and mesh well with a lot. I use them for a shepherd's pie and lentil Italian soup and a Swedish meatball recipe I have. They're delish. Even my hubby who's not a fan of these lentils loves them and finds them filling.

I love adding lentils to lots of things. Lentils are a powerhouse of pure plant protein. Not only do they taste great, lentils along w/ other plant proteins, have mega cancer fighting properties. Bob's Red Mill offers healthy foods and recipes. These lentils are one great product among several!

After reading an article about pesticides in oats, we decided to try Bobs organic oats. My husband ordered the oats and while browsing your website I saw that you have beans. I ordered a variety and the lentils were one of my choices. We live in Southern VA and we made a large crockpot of your beans to hold us through hurricane Florence. We were luckier than our neighbors in NC and didn't lose power. Your beans were delicious and tasted better the second day. We finished it down to the last bean. We soaked the kidney and navy beans overnight then added the lentils and split peas when we prepared the soup. Great survival food. We should all send a bag to someone we know down South. It's a hardy comfort food.

I have type 2 diabetes, and read somewhere (Facebook?) that lentils are great for keeping blood sugars under control. I now substitute brown lentils or other lentils for potatoes, rice, and pasta. They have made a wonderful addition to my diet and I find I am less hungry than I used to be when I ate more/higher carbs.

These are the EASIEST Lentils I have ever cooked. Made with some chicken stock and some diced tomatoes, I can have a healthy protein side ready in 20 minutes. The recipe on the back makes a really soupy lentil dish. It recommends to use 4 cups of liquid for 1 cup lentils. I only use 1 1/2 cups of liquid per cup and it is a creamy and delicious side dish. I love that I don't have to soak them.

Delicious and quick lentils

Just like the title says -- these are easy, delicious, and nutritious. I like to make a large batch on Sunday (with some basic aromatics) then keep them in the fridge for the week as an addition to salads, soups, and/or sides for a little bomb of protein and fiber.

I like making liver pate for holidays or when I have dinner guests.  The only problem with that is liver is really not that healthy for all diets. Therefore, I make my liver pate with lentils and with Bob's lentils you get the best of both,  healthy diet and great taste, and food snobs cannot tell the difference!

Oooooow I like these lentils so much!! I have all of them: red, green petite and brown lentils. You will becoming a lentil chick once you cook and eat these. I would like to purchase them as organic though. Hopefully they will do more organic brands. We want products as healthy as possible!

My body is very sensitive to glyphosate (the active ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup weed killer). Glyphosate is used not just during the time the plant is in the soil, but especially after harvest to accelerate the drying out of grains, legumes. The lentils being reviewed are not labeled organic, but I was hoping they would have been only lightly treated with glyphosate. After several attempts I have decided to stop cooking with the batch I bought due to adverse reactions (aching stomach, water retention, dry mouth). Conversely, Bob's Red Mill's organic oats give me no problem whatsoever (non-organic Quaker oats do), so I can trust when Bob makes the organic claim. Too bad they don't offer organic lentils.
