First, you should know that Bodum is an extremely well-known and quality brand. If you have ever shopped at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, you are aware of the quality of their items. Bodum makes the "pour over" coffee maker MoMA sells, which is identical to this one except in the detail of this one's having cork where it is held, while MoMA's has a handle. 

Also, please be aware that the only plastic used in this coffee maker is on the edges of the stainless steel cone, which area is well out of the way of the coffee and of the hot water poured through the cone. Therefore, nothing that the user will ever consume comes in any contact with plastic. Nothing. Therefore, a person is not exposed to microplastics while using this coffee maker because, unless the hot water is poured onto the edge of the cone, nothing is exposed to the small amount of plastic used in the coffee maker. 

I love this product. Mainly, I love avoiding microplastics, but I also love the coffee this maker provides, and I appreciate the super low cost of the product. It's a winner in every way.

this coffee maker is totally awesome much superior to anything I've ever used in my kitchen I highly recommend this product there's something about this coffee maker that packs the punch in coffee making. The glass does get extremely hot so make sure you set it on top of a small towel or a mat.

I love not buying k-cups they have become way too expensive and seem to be not as strong no mater the brand. It is taking a little time learning as to coffee to water preferences for myself. I also bought an electric  teapot at the same time so I have quickly boiled water. So far worth it !!

I would have gone for a smaller size if it had been available when I was ordering, especially because i mainly got this for my office lol. But it still serves its purpose well, and it's nice to have such a portable coffee maker that requires neither electricity nor filters, and can brew quite a bit in one pot. I will still probably eventually purchase a smaller one - I've found space for this one for now, tho, and definitely recommend to anyone who wants a simple, affordable pour-over setup. 👍🏻

Just to try and be helpful, the box includes the glass carafe thing, the reusable stainless cone filter, the cork "handle" thing and the cord that keeps it in place, a pouring lid, and instructions (pretty sure that's it lol). It's probably also worth mentioning that I've repeatedly accidentally bopped the glass against the granite counter while rinsing it, and it's held up to my abuse lol

We first saw one of these in a Thai restaurant. We enjoyed the coffee %26 the experience of brewing it. Add some sweetened condensed milk to the carafe while brewing %26 you have Thai hot coffee. I bought this one for my husband for Christmas %26 he loves it.  It looks great on our kitchen counter too.

easy to use, I use a small pot of water to pour over so I do recommend a kettle! great quality of coffee especially paired with Bustello coffee.  3½ table spoon of coffee for 3-4cups of water(I like it on the strong side.) Best choice of coffee maker for small apartments with little counter space, easily stored away.

Fantastic Coffee maker

WILL FOREVER REPLACE MY PLASTIC COFFEE MAKER!!! No plastic touching boiling water adds huge benefit to our health and strengthens flavorful coffee, hitting all of those notes. Ease of use especialy when having a plug in kettle boiler. Ease of storage but out of reach of little ones becaue glass. take it anywhere. Resuable filter is and material used to manufacter is environmentally friendly and cleans well meaning nothing getting stuck in strange corner.. keeping clean adds to health and better flavor too. Cleaning it is simple, I just rinse it out and throw filter in dishwasher. For relgular heat sanitization you do have to take the cork handle off to put the glass in the dishwasher but it slides out easy with a rope lock and is not complicated. I find the pour insert thing not desireable because its plastic. The grip is a little large for my hands it would be nice with a handle opposite of the pour spout. its a good size about the same as a pot of coffee. I enjoy having a cup then putting the rest of it in a glass bottle/jar for cold brew coffee. You could take it comping or to go as all you need it to boil water.. can be done over fire. A new and inexpensive love this little morning friend!

Replaces Plastic Brewers

This pour over coffee maker has exactly what I wanted. I am trying to get away from plastic items and switched from a plastic Aeropress. The quality of coffee is similar but no plastic involved. I was slightly disappointed to see plastic around the rim of the stainless steel filter but I understand. It doesn't actually come into contact with the coffee grounds or the water either. Cleanup is easy and the cork around the middle protects your hands. The glass seems thin but durable. Very happy with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this product previously and recently broke it. I reordered the same product because it was a good product.

It is  nice Quality-Sturdy -however--even with the Cork--it is too hot for Hands--I replaced  Cord with Heavy Rubber band..The Cord %26 Wood Ball got in my way...I think a Handle would be great. *I like the filter but I still add a unbleached Paper Filter for Nice Clean Coffee. U must lift very high to get all the Coffee Poured out. It is great that there is no plastic .

I have another one I got from Amazon that actually came in a box, instructions and brand new with the actual stainless steel Bodom filter that I have been using for years. Thought I would try Walmart. This one came not in a box but some type of thicker packaging like it had been used before with NO filter. How to make coffee and the advertising said it came with a filter and the inside smaller packaging said contains a stainless steel filter. No box? No filter? Took it back went back to Amazon! I love Bodom Pour Over but would advise to make sure you are getting a new one with a filter and a box!
